Jeff Beyer had a relatively humble start in what has turned out to be an illustrious demo career. It all began in 1981 when Tom "King Demo" Brhun gave Jeff a beat up, pre-run late 60's Pontiac to drive. He ended up placing 4th in his heat before a driveshaft broke, ending his rookie season. In 1983 he built his first car by himself (a 1973 4 door post Chevy Impala), and even though most of his competitor's were driving 71-76 GM wagons and 61-64 Galaxys he brought home two heat wins, and more impessively two feature top 5 finish's. Flash forward 20 years and you'll see that Jeff has continued his successful ways. Not only is he a serious threat to win every demo he enters, but he also has a very aggressive driving style that has made him the hands down fan favorite at his hometown derby. Jeff has truly seen it all. From early in his career when the 63 & 64 galaxy's were the car of choice,and most of his competitors would pay less then $50 a car knock the glass out and run it like that. He witnessed the glory days of demo from the mid 80's to the early 90's when 74-76 chevy sedans, and 71-76 GM wagons were as plentifull as the grass on the ground. Now In present days, when many of his competetors have $1,000-$3,000, and 300-500 hours of work wrapped up in there cars he has not just survived, but he has in fact thrived. While this Evolution has pretty much forced all of the old school drivers to go by the way side, Jeff is still going strong. He is still building his cars just like he did in the 80's, and while most current drivers reliy on built up cars to get a feature top 5 finish, Jeff can pull from his 20+ years of derby experiance and drive circles around this new generationon of driver.
