"History of Lawrence, Orange and Washington Co.'s, Indiana" Goodspeed Bros. and Co., 1884 HENRY C. WRIGHT was born in Marion Township, Lawrence Co., Ind., December 31, 1844. He was raised on the farm and received a common school education. After the war, in which he served with gallantry, he returned home and engaged in agricultural pursuits, to which he has since devoted his life. He owns a farm of 150 acres. He was united in marriage with MISS CLARA A. MURRAY, January 20, 1872. She was born in Marion Township, Lawrence Co., Ind., April 6, 1854, and is a daughter of ISAAC and SOPHIA A. (HALL) MURRAY. To this union have been born three children--OTTO, ROBERT and HOMER. Henry C. is a Republican in politics, and a member of the G.A.R. order. He has always aimed to keep good stock, and has some of the finest in the county. He takes great interest in educational matters and is a highly respected, public-spirited citizen. MESSRS. AARON and HENRY C. WRIGHT have the best short-horn cattle in this section of the State. They have spared no pains nor expense in promoting the cattle interests of the county, and to them is due a large share of the praise bestowed upon the cattle-growers of this section for the fine cattle raised.
