I had planned on reviving the old NSL Fantasy League at the end of the month, and after seeing how the standings shook out, I wish I would’ve done it sooner, because Burnie's Canucks have the

best offensive numbers at the 1/3 pole, and I know he would of loved that. He was keen on sending me

little notes on past Nuggets, on why he's climbing on sinking in the NSL Fantasy League, and his 2^nd place standing this time around would have been a proud moment for him, which I'm sure would have elicited

a great response from him. This one's for you Burnie.

One of my best memories with Burnie is actually golf related. I won a Big Bertha driver

on a tip book at work. After picking up the driver, I stopped by Bob's house as Burnie was in town. I'm showing Bertha off to the guys, just dying to hit it. Bob had a wooded lot across the street, so he grabbed

some balls, and I ripped off a few drives with it. I handed Bertha to Burnie. A couple grunts during a few

practice swings then he steps up and drills the first ball, straight as hell and easily 250 yards. We hooted

and hollered and high fived all around, and Burnie had the biggest smile on his face. About an hour later,

Burnie and I stepped out to smoke. We are just standing around, and I look over at Burnie, and he's grinning, looking out into the woods where he drilled his massive drive. I said, You're still thinking about that drive,

aren't you? He said, Sheesh, I gotta get me one of those! That grin never left his face the rest of day.

I might do a what went right and wrong at the half way point, but for now I'll just let you soak up the stats.
