I am happy to report that the Hitmen (formerly the Honkies and No Names) just won victory #3000.

We entered series #15 vs Canaan with a total of 2995 wins. We took 3 of 4 at John's place, thus beginning our 4 game home series with 2998 lifelong wins.

Games #1 was all Cannan as they crushed my over anxious gang by a score of 12 - 2.

Victory #2999 was achieved in game #2 thanks to a Hitmen 6 to 2 victory.

The big 3000 was achieved in game #3 thanks to a complete game shutout by Jeff Karstens and a 4 - 0 victory. The Hitmen scored 1 in the 4th on a Morse solo blast to make it 1 - 0. In the bottom of the 7th, Carroll singled in an unearned run to make it 2 - 0. Normally at this point, Karstens's ass would be pulled but after being upgraded and pitching in such a historic game, I had to allow him to continue.

Cleveland scored 2 more in the 8th and Karstens went the route for a 5 hitter to and the 3000th victory celebration began.

It's kind of a shame that a stiff like Karstens had to win the big one, but a victory is a victory. The Hitmen then took game #4 for victory #3001 and the march towards 4000 began.

Attached please find the winning scoresheet as well as a celebration victory photo, although I would much prefer celebrating with Bob's new bench coach and former beverage cart girl.
