Nsaa Dance Ensemble
Nsaa is Ghanaian Adinkra symbol that means "to extol excellence and discourage satifaction with the second rate." Literally speaking, nsaa is a kind of cloth made from horse or camel hair.
It is said, "nea onnim nsaa oto n'ago" which can be translated as "he who does not know the authentic nsaa buys the fakes." We strive to uphold the meanings of nsaa in all that we do. The mission of Nsaa Dance Ensemble is to educate ourselves first and thereafter the student body of Howard University about the culture and history of Africa and the African Diaspora through song, dance and music.
