My 4th of July was really, really awesome. JJ made us burgers on his grill, and then we walked over to World's Fair Park to see what was going on there. We caught the end of KSO, bought some Jelly Bellys at the Chocolate Factory, and grabbed a seat on the stairs around the convention center. The fireworks started about 9.45pm and went for fifteen minutes. They were nice, and reminded me a lot of the Boomsday fireworks. They must have used the same pyrotechnician or whatever you'd call a firework choreographer. Afterwards we shot off some of our own fireworks in the back parking lot and from my balcony, and played around with some sparklers. And there may have been some drinks involved.

I caught the end of the new Trading Spaces tonight after I got home from work. Gen painted her room the same color as my website background! That'd be hexadecimal #cccc33 if you're wondering. She called it spring green. I was like, yeah! Spring green rules!

P.S. Posted gallery of pictures from the 4th. Only some of my fireworks pictures, though, because I have more fireworks pictures than you can shake a stick at.

The firwork pictures are awesome! Which camera were you using? The url under my name links to my recording of the night. But I hate the performance of my D.C. in the dark. Besides, it has a quite long delay after pressing the button. So I never got a decent shot at the fireworks;)

Love the photo of the Sunsphere. I think you're right about the fireworks... they did bear a strinking resemblance to the Boomsday fireworks. But then again, don't all fireworks look the same? :-)
