NOTE 1: This John Childress was born circa 1775-1780 and married Mary (Polly) Kirby in 1796 in Blount Co, TN.
They moved from TN to Jackson County, AL about 1820. John and Mary (Kirby) Childress died between 1840 and 1850 are buried in Scottsboro in Jackson County, AL, but the exact place is unknown. Most likely they were buried in a family cemetery adjacent to their home.)
