Hoosier Outdoor Club of the Deaf (HOCD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and providing outdoor recreation opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and/or hearing.  HOCD conducts monthly events and trips for both the novice and the experienced with the Club taking care of most details.

By joining the Club membership, you will discover new activities, new places, new and old fellowships as well as new opportunities to enjoy the most common camping excursions in the great outdoors. Our groups vary from small to large with qualified and competent trip leaders. Recreational opportunities are created to provide "getaways" from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to relax in the great outdoors and to appreciate our great Mother Earth.

Club activities and trips to outdoor recreation sites in Indiana are held every month with an occasional out-of-state trip during the summer. While club camping is often the most common activity, the Club has done and will still do other activities that include, but not limited to, the following: backpacking, bicycling, boating, camping, canoeing, caving, hiking, horseback riding, house boating, mountain biking, orienteering, rappelling, rock climbing, snow skiing, skydiving, and whitewater rafting. The Club also do community events such as selling food at its booth on PTCO Day, sponsoring other organizations' annual events and hosting a state bowling tournament.

With this Club website, you can learn more about HOCD and what it does as well as its activity schedule, event photos, tidbits, just to name a few. Please take a few minutes to explore this site and then consider joining this great organization.
