About my auctions!I think that a small handling fee if fair given the costs of supplies and fees for e-cash payments and I am one of the few true auctions around that start at low bids and no reserves. If there is anything else need to know about the item I will add it in the description.I try to mail out some of the items as inexpensive as possible with bubble envelopes.Sometimes I'm a little slow at mailings due to work and weather and when you send payment. If your package has not arrived within 10 days notify me.Though I can't be held responsible for mail once it leaves me.It's up to you to purchase insurance.

I have hundreds of items on or going up for auction sometimes it takes me a bit to find all the items that are sold, though I have been trying to take measures to keep everything in it's place so I can find it,but somehow I always seem to misplace one or two items. It seems the more organized I become the less I seem to be organized! So in order to let you know how I am coming along with your item/s I will rate you and your item as I am packaging it up and I should be getting it out within a few days.Sometimes I have to find a box to fit it,wrap it,tape it and make sure I have the proper addy on it and get it to the post office.

VINTAGE*DANCER
Apparel and Accessories

My name is and at the present time I am a semi-retired dancer from Philadelphia.I have been dancing since I was 18 and that was 27 years ago! When I was a child I loved to entertain by dancing and acting act songs to my family and friends. When I was very young maybe 6 or 7 my dad asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and just as natural as can be I said I wanted to be a

I'm sure at that age my image of a gogo dancer was just a girl in short set and wore white boots. I guess I got the idea from Rowen and Martins Laugh-In! A few months before I turned 18 I went and auditioned and it's been history ever since! After the agency hired me I called to tell my dad he was just a little surprised and that is when he told me what I said as a little girl. I will be turning 45 (1/31/60). I have not been dancing on a regular basis or as a housegirl as they are called today I realize I still have the music in me and still just can't shake off(no pun intended) the thing that always seemed to come so naturally-the gift of dance!

I worked for a lady named Estelle from Allied Talent Agency. Most girls worked from an agency and as I can recall she had the most girls in her flock so to speak. Believe it or not the bars and clubs paid you to work there not the opposite of what it is today formost places anyhow. Not only did you make your tips but an good hourly rate and you tipped whomever you wanted. If the bartender, barback, doorman or dj (though there were not too many of them back then, most music came from a jukebox) helped you or not,you tipped accordingly. Now these clubs make the dancers tip the house, bartenders, doormen, and the dj. Which to me is a farce since they are already making the dancers pay the clubs bills-like they don't make enough by charging an entrance fee and liquor sales. If it were not for the girls there would not be a club, they call this the renting of space. The girls work harder and longer hours just to give up a bigger piece of thier pie to the owners. Did you know if a club has 20 girls and charges them each lets say $30 each for them to rent thier space in the club just for thier shift the club itself makes $600 just for opening up thiers doors that day and if all the girls show up and some clubs even impose a fee for not showing up or not being on time. So you figure if the club is open 6 days a week just the dancers house fee comes to $3600.00 a week which surely pays for rent or mortgage on thier property. I guess this really depends on where the property is located. I'm sure you get my drift.

Below is a list of the bars and clubs that I have worked over the years. Some I can't remember because I may have only been there for a week or two,a couple were trial runs to see if dancers would work and increase business at that bar and a couple of times I went with other girls to places that I didn't have regular bookings at just for a change of paste. Some places were for me to far to keep going to or I did not make enough money to warrant the time in travel to keep working there. I very rarely worked at a bar where I had to pay to work there in case your wondering why you have not seen me at these bigger clubs I try to stay with the smaller bars and clubs where you actually make friends with your fellow employees and some customers too. Though you still have to put up with a bitch or a jerk every now and again.

Jack's, Charlie Pros, The Plaza, Spanky's, Straccio's, Dangerous Curves, French Quarter, Bare Necessities, Red Raven, Tattletails Too, 19th Hole, Bottoms Up, Daydreams, Dutch Gardens, The Office, Pin-ups, Tattletails South, Witches Inn, Diamond Dolls, All In The Family, Bumpers, Tattletails Blvd, Bare Exposure, Carousel Lounge, The Esquire, 7 Stars, Happy Tap, I worked at a little spot at 69th street you had to walk down a flight a steps,I also worked at another place in ardmore it was near a septa train station, Knights Road Tavern, Morrell Tavern, Cameo Lounge, The Golden Slipper and it was something before that I also worked at The Dragon somewhere in New Jersey and in Jacksonville Florida Delilahs Den, The Gold Club,Shark Lounge,Pink Pony and The Dollhouse theres another one too I forget if its called bjs or rjs maybe someone could get back to me on this and I also worked at a bottle club on the outskirts of daytona but cannot right off hand remember the name I'm starting to go senile at my old age! They are the ones I can think of for now. If you can happen to think of any bars that were around since 1977 that are not listed here maybe I could have worked there. You can send me an email if I did work there I will add it to the list. I would also like to try and put everything in time line form and the reasons I worked there or stopped working there and give my opinion of what I thought about the bar or club if anyone is interested mostly I'm just trying to get a list together of all the places I worked just because I want to know where I've been in the last 27 years.Come to think of it I'm almost 46 and I think I have worked in at least that many places-unbelieveable! I don't think any other dancer has quite the resume I do.I am going on my 30th year of being a gogo dancer truly a testament of my dedication and devotion to the art of dancing. Yes there have beentimes where I have stopped to get married, have babies, take breaks, moved a couple of times, but have always come back to my first love!
