Discover for yourself that we can allow our own healing to move strongly through us while in the midst of quiet, supportive energy. Find that in serenity and in silent search, we open our hearts and we are no longer inhibited by set norms of society. Believing a deep desire for the energy of silence, we understand the need to be away-from-it-all occasionally, a time to count one's gifts and give thanks for all blessings received. To be still and to marvel at the always available, oft-suppressed, energy of love and mercy.

There are many forms of meditation, rest or prayer. Contemplation is one of them and droves flock to their sacred space for a respite from the hustle and bustle of life. Daily prayer often seems insufficient because of the rush of the day. Many times a scheduled, silent time is the answer we need to gather quality, quiet time within -- to sit and listen; to re-charge our energy or "spiritual batteries" (especially useful for those in healthcare or a ministry), and to seek direction in life.

Sanctuary participants may arrive at any time, but are discouraged from leaving after they arrive. This is to keep the heart, mind and soul quiet both inside and outside so that the "peaceful voice" could be better heard. To keep and maintain the peace, serenity, quiet and prayerfulness of the place the only code of conduct is that participants maintain silence, to the point of not addressing anybody else in the room.
