She is a private citizen who was recognized in her role as a healing spiritual messenger at a very early age. Until now this role has been to quietly minister to family, friends, clients -- and, when called, to other local citizens, such as, The Charlotte (NC) Symphony Orchestra, local South Carolina & North Carolina Hospice Offices and the Microsoft Corporation based in Charlotte(NC). As an experienced Speaker, Workshop Facilitator, and Intuitive Counselor, Jeanne is excited to observe evolving human consciousness on an individual, person-by-person basis.
Ms Ashley has conducted a private, holistic practice for over 35 years, while living in both South Carolina & North Carolina, although the primary therapies have evolved many times over this period. Her more formal training moved through the study of Standard Psychotherapy, Astrology, Energy Field Bodywork and Shamanic Journeying. The present combination of services offered consists of integration of this acquired knowledge with Mind-Body-Spirit direct-healing modalities. The spiritual dimension is now offered to clients through the Clairsentient aspect of Intuitive Coaching and Shamanic Counseling for personal healing, complaints, maladies or simple curiosity.
Formal classes have included subjects such as: Basic Leiki (Reiki)(1969); Hypnotherapy (1971); Colors of Health (1974); The Subconscious & Dream Interpretation (1990); Medical Clairvoyance (1993) and Traditional Usui Reiki (1997), as well as, Deepak Chopra's Seven Spiritual Laws of Success Instructor training (1995), Louise Hay's Heal Your Life (1994) & Hay's Empowering Women (1997) with Terah Kathryn Collins' Western Feng Shui, Caroline Myss' Anatomy of the Spirit and Christianne Northrup Women's Wisdom.
Personal research into healing has included Astrology (1964); Studies in -- Vegetarian, Macrobiotic, Food Allergies & Blood Type -- Nutrition (1967/1990); Drug Abuse & Trauma Counseling (1968); Ayurveda; Meditation (1970); Positive Psychology (1970); Herbs for Health (1971); Guided Imagery & Hypnotherapy (1972); Acupressure; Homeopathy; Animal Communication; Psychic Reading; Flower Essence Remedies; Chakra Balancing; Ayurveda & The Doshas, and, World Shamanism.
On a different level, Jeanne Porter Ashley is a private individual with many talents -- teacher, friend, counselor, healer, networker, wife/widow, photographer, a Grandmother and a Great-Grand-Nana. She has never been afraid to stand up for her beliefs - however they may sound to others - and to lobby for her work with mind, body, and spirit healing.
A background that includes: studies in Psychotherapy from Hall Institute of SC Department of Mental Health with an emphasis in Attitudinal Therapy (1970); a Ministerial Ordination through the Universal Life Church (1975); Doctor of Divinity (1999) and Master's in Metaphysical Studies (2000). A 23 year career in Health and Human Services Organizations in both Carolinas - American Red Cross, Blind Commission, United Way, Arts Councils - enhanced her natural ability to relate to our fellow beings in any cultural status ~ socio-economic, race, creed, color ~ of humans. Her clients include such individuals as: artists, chiropractors, farmers, social workers, energy workers, poets, real estate agents, parents, children and journalists.
Feeling that we have been distracted from our true selves and our connection to the powers of heaven and earth, Jeanne Porter Ashley, feels most deeply about the state of self-love in our world, and its effect in terms of positive, individual transformation.
Jeanne advocates a personal path to balance and ultimate empowerment through the learning of self-accepting, life-affirming wisdom.
