What does a genealogical records specialist do? I search through courthouse, library, historical society, museum and other local repositories that contain records relevant to genealogy. These records would include marriage, birth and death records, court records such as divorce, probate, estate, criminal and other civil court records. I also research land records, census data, county histories, indexes and completed genealogies deposited in local repositories.
