Follow these rules | 1/15/04 - 5:59 PM | By Metalman

-OverView-

Existance Of Divinity (EOD) is presented on a AS-IS basis. Usage of the Mirage product and services indicates acceptance of this, and any risk that it may imply. Any rules broken will result in deletion of account and a copy of all logs involving the issue will be sent to the ISP.

-Keeping It Legal-

No illegal activities are allowed in EOD. You may not use the Game nor Message Board to post, publish, distribute obscene or other unlawful material or information, specifically, but not limited to, pornography and drugs. Urls to such materials are not allowed. Mirage is not responsible for any use for anything you say or post. You may not market, promote or advertise anything, or make any other form of solicitaion (including pyramid schemes and chain letters) on the Game or through the Web Site

-Character Names-

Generally, it is up to the player to decide the name for his or her character while playing MO. However, some character names will be considered abusive behavior: for example, names indicating other specific player characters, the players themselves, EOD staff, or any real-life personal information will not be accepted. It is also unacceptable to use profanity, racially or sexually explicit words or generally threatening wording as a players character name. Kill_XXXX is an example of an unacceptable name. Judgment of what is and is not disruptive is entirely at the discretion of the EOD Staff.

-Bug Abuse, Hacks, and Trainers-

This section refers to creating or using any program or technique resulting in unfair advantage via an undocumented feature or disrupting the datastream to and from the server. Such Memory Edits, Trainers, AntiIdle Macros, Bots or any other hacks destroy the balance of play in EOD Online.. While a player may think that abusing a bug for personal gain may not affect others, the fact is that it distorts power, creates imbalances in riches, and is otherwise unfair to players abiding by normal game rules. Players must agree that the consequences of allowing bugs and loopholes to be exploited is so detrimental to the product, that EOD Online will exercise no tolerance whatsoever for anyone participating in this type of activity. Bugs should always be reported on the message board. If you observe someone else abusing a serious bug, or discussing a plan to abuse one, and fail to report it, you are subject to the same penalties as they are. You will not modify any of the files that are part of the EOD Online Client package. This includes the binary executable file and all of the data files downloaded or created by the Client software.

It is forbidden to use an application or programmatic means to artificially provide input in the EOD Online client. This includes, but is not limited to: mouse clicks, mouse movement, keyboard input, artificial input from any port (serial, parallel, USB, firewire, scsi, etc.), tape, or any weighted object placed on a key to provide rapid or steady input, clock modifying applications(accelerators, "speedhackers", etc.), packet sniffers/injectors, memory editors and bubblegum.

-Game Staff-

The staff of EOD Online, from Programmers, to Developers, to Warders, are often online during the day. Warders are available to help game players during a time in need, which includes being stuck on a map. Because Staff members are from different timezones all over the world, players must be aware that there will be times when there are no staff members online. Warders are the only staff members who have the ability to help players.

-Bribes-

Players will not bribe admins and admins will not accept bribes. If you try to bribe an admin by sending him/her money to his/her house for something on the game your character will be deleted and the admin who accepted the bribe will have a character deletion as well and will no longer be part of development.

-Accounts-

Each player is alloted one account. Each account (will) only allow three characters. Any players with multiple accounts will have all accounts deleted without warning. IF you currently have more then one account registered with us, you MUST report all of your accounts on the message board, AND pick which account you would like to keep. You have until October 1st before the above rule take place. Moving characters from one account to another is not possible.

-Play Nice-

You may not harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort to another player. This excludes Player Killing, which is accepted in EOD Online. You may not organize any clans or groups that are based on, or espouse, any racist, sexist, anti- religious, anti-ethnic, anti-gay, or other hate-mongering philosophy.

-Broken Rules-

If you are to break any of these rules it will result in a permanent ban from EOD Online. There is one exception to rule breaking and that is the accounts rule, your accounts will just be deleted from EOD files and if you consist on creating more than one account you will be banned. Admins will not accept a "Plee to not be banned" they will ban without questioning if they think it is necessary.
