This page is dedicated to things I've wondered about throughout the
years; not the most important things one could wonder about, I know,
and still - I ponder. Some questions probably have real answers
but laziness is blocking my way to them. If you have an answer or
an unresolved thought of the kind send it to the address below and I'll
post it here. I have these to start with, more to come.
1) If you look at the drummer
in many music videos made up to about the mid-70's, you'll notice that
the sticks don't really touch the drums and if they do, the drumming has
nothing to do with the actual beat of the song. I don't get it, was
the act of actually touching the drums considered offensive back then?
Were drummers such bad actors?
2) People who talk on the phone in movies hardly
ever say "bye" or "talk to you later" etc. True, conversations do
end but the phone is hung up before a wishful good-bye is heard.
Take Mulder for example who always hangs up on Scully and vice versa.

4) People in movies never make mistakes when they're typing.
Whether it's a journalist or a programmer, you never see them using
the delete key or back-space. They just type like a mofo, no errors
and boy, can they type fast !
5) In nature films, when talking about a certain animal, the narrator
will say something like "over the years the animal has evolved and adapted
to its environment and can now assume the shape of a rock", or a tree,
sand and what not. How does a fish contribute to his blending and
create his disguise? what does a bug do in order to look like a leaf? Is
this an acquired competence? Could human beings work on it as well?

7) If Harrison Ford
is such a talented actor, why is it that he can only put on one face out
of all the existing facial expressions? Happy, sad, angry and what not, he
always looks the same.
8) How do toilets work? I understand how the water tank
works but couldn't figure out the replacing of the old water with the new
and clean water. How does the water exit the toilet?
9) Why is the term "half a dozen" used? What's
wrong with six? Wouldn't it be shorter to write "six doughnuts" rather than
"half a dozen doughnuts"? Why use three words instead of one? Is the
word six too simple? Not sophisticated enough? If you're buying beer
you can by a six-pack, are doughnuts better than beer? (actually yes, but
that's besides the point) And why stop there? Use half a dozen minus
2 for four,double dozen for 24 and so on.
