DATE : The Second Thursaday of each month.
TIME : From 7:00 p.m. onward untill it ends.
LOCATION : Located one block East of the Muncie Mall, the Morningside Neighborhood Outreach Center, 1420 East McGalliard Road, is just across the street from K-Mart Department Store and MARSH Grocery.
INFORMATION : Membership Dues for Morningside or McCormick residents is $2.50

THE WORLD CHANGERS - June 21 -to- 25, 2004
DAILY TIME : From 7:30 a.m. -to- 4:00 p.m.
INFORMATION : "The World Changers" is a Ministry of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, providing missions, education and involvement for Christian youth of junior high and high school ages, from several states, with adult supervision, who this year have came to Morningside and McCormick Neighborhoods here in Muncie Indiana to volunteer their time and labor for their Christian Outreach Ministry. Their Outreach Mission strategy is home rehabilitation, by partnershiping with local governments and other agencies to assist those in need of certain types of home repairs. The World Changers provide their labor to work on owner occupied residental homes where the residents meet specific requirements. All labor and building materials are provided freely for residents who qualify ;
Age is excluded as a factor for consideration.
Income must meet certain guidelines.
Property Taxes must be paid.
Utilities must be paid.
You must own your home and live in it.
NOTE : Once an applicant has been pre-screened for eligibility, the home is evaluated on an individual basis by World Changers for suitability. Accordingly, the homeowner may then be referred to other appropriate agencies for additional assistance.
The types of services provided by the World Changers includes, but is not limited to, the following ;
Roof Replacements (limited height)
Handicapped Ramps
Porch Repairs
Floor Repair / Replacement
Wall Repairs
Painting (interior and exterior)
Window Replacement
and other carpentry work.
NOTE : Plumbing and Electrical work is usually excluded.
NOTE : We in Morningside and McCormick Neighborhoods are very fortunate and appreciative of "The World Changers", who this year are serving the needs of several of our neighborhood residents who otherwise could not afford to make such home repairs and who's lifestyles will be improved as a direct result. FIRST AID CLINIC - June 21 to 25, 2004
DAILY TIME : From 7:30 a.m. -to- 4:00 p.m.
LOCATION : COP Shop Number Ten at 1420 East McGalliard Road, and this location may be moved to Morningside Park at 2200 East Cornell Avenue if weather is nice.
NOTE : Workers and their Supervisors will be notied of specific location or changes.
NOTE : The primary function of this First Aid Clinic is to provide medical support for the Christian Outreach Ministry of "The World Changers", (Read item above).

BLOCK PARTY - June 22nd, 2004
TIME : From 4:00- 6:00 pm.
INFORMATION : Block Party in Morningside Park : Provided by Union Chapel Ministry.
NOTE : The Block Party will be held before the Back Yard Bible Club Meeting.

INFORMATION : Block Party in Morningside Park (OR if it rains, it will be held at Morningside United Methodist Church at 1600 East Cornell Avenue). This Block Party is provided by "East Central Baptist Association" in honor of the "World Changers" volunteer Christian youth workers and adult Supervisors who came from several states to provide their labor to repair homes as their Christian Outreach Ministry to our Morningside and McCormick Neighborhood residents. All labor and building materials is provided freely for residents who qualify.

Entertainment : "His Messengers" are an all male Southern Gospel Choir that will be singing Gaither style music at this event. They are to sing about two hours.

MISSIONARY CLUB CARRY-IN DINNER - July 24th, 2004
TIME : From 2:00 -to- 4:00 p.m.
INFORMATION : The Morningside Missionary Club will have a carry-in-dinner for their families....and then from 3:00 -to- 4:00 p.m. Ellen Adney and her puppet Lucy will entertain.
LOCATION : The Citywide location of this event will be at
C.O.P. Shop Four, 616 East Main Street, Muncie, Indiana 47305, ...which is located in the East Central Neighborhood where the Old Washington Street Festival is held at.
INFORMATION : Be sure to bring your children to this annual anti-crime family-friendly event. The location changes each year for the city-wide event, although Morningside has held the event longer than the City has.
This is the 21st annual nationwide neighborhood anti-crime National Night Out.
FREE-BEES : Featured at this event are free glow-in-the-dark items.
INFORMATION : Members of the Morningside Missionary Club will be going on a field trip to Jim Davis's "PAWs Studio", to see where Garfield the Cat is created for comic publications worldwide. This is the first time such a field trip has ever been conducted for the Morningside Missionary Club and a rare treet indeed, because PAW's Studio is generally a very private place, closed to the general public.
INFORMATION : Morningside's Annual Gospel Sing will be held in Morningside Park at the Shelter. 2300 East Cornell Avenue, Muncie, Indiana.
REFRESHMENTS : For the first time at this, food will be sold this year by the Morningside & Mc Cormick Neighborhood Association.
