washington d.c.'s darkest hour play a brand of vicious metalcore that is highly influenced by swedish melodic death metal bands(i.e. in flames, at the gates, etc.). the band even went as far as going to sweden to work with famed producer fredrick nordstrom, and their newest album, hidden hands of a sadist nation, features guest appearances by members of the crown, soilwork, and the haunted.
