This page is made in dedication to law enforcement members as well as their families. Past, present, and fallen.

When I graduated from investigating school, I was welcomed into a family that stretches from coast to coast. A family that protects one another and looks over loved ones while they sleep.

We all have our purpose in life. Some of us are meant to work with politics, some are meant to work with businesses and some of us are meant to protect and uphold the law.

Most of us have seen things that we wouldn't wish upon our worst enimies. And it is those things that drive us to protect others to keep from seeing them again.

We work under one of the toughest professions known. We are trusted by few and dispised by many. But behind the bages and the ethics that are pounded into our minds, lies just another human being.

At times, we have to make split second decisions while at the same time tying to protect the innocent and go through all of the possible outcomes in our minds in that second. We have to be dedicated even at the worst of times.

We have to be diplomatic. And we have to hear both sides of the story, which at times, is in the form of two people yelling their sides at the same time. ~smiles~ But deep down we know that things will work out in the end and peace will be brought.

Everything about the job is well worth the time and effort that is put into it. Even right down to the leads that go no where or the stake outs and surveillance runs that seem to last forever because you learn and see so much on every run.

We have to be brave, when spirits around us seem tattered. We have to be brave, when one of our own are down. We have to be brave, for our families who worry about us each time we go out. Even when inside we are tattered, down, or scared.

We have all heard stories of people being released who go in search of the one who helped put them away. And it does happen...to often. But it is a risk we are all willing to take as long as we are able to do our job and make sure everyone is safe.
