Pennsylvania Railroad Bridge in Columbus Indiana Davids Tour Of Columbus Indiana

The Pennsylvania Railroad Bridge

Two railroads served Columbus throughout the 1950's and 1960's: The New York Central and the Pennsylvania Railroad.  This bridge is a rusting reminder of a time when the Pennsylvania Railroad played an important role in Columbus' business sector, and any train lover who wanders into Columbus will surely want a picture. The Pensylvania Railroad logo is just barely visible on the left side of the words, but doesn't appear in this photo. If the city ever decides to give this bridge a coat of paint, I hope they give the letters a fresh coat of white paint and add the old logo as well.
By the way, this bridge is a brief walk from Mill Race Park...
