AKA: antarctic bottlenosed whale, flathead
Southern bottlenose whales are yellow to dark brown in colour, with pale heads. They have two throat grooves and a prominent dorsal fin. Found in cold waters only, they eat mostly squid and can grow to about 7.5 meters.
