Subject: Appalling solutions to growing problem

Dear Sharon or Wendy,

I have read a recent letter to your office regarding the State of Florida and our Nation's Child Protective Services.

Our concerns are that CPS has unaccountable and overwhelming power to destroy the lives of families on mere whims.

Taking children frivolously then putting them in more dangerous foster homes. Or perhaps losing them altogether. Then when a truly endanger child (that was left in a home due to all resources being spent on separating decent families) does die, the CPS cries out for more money for prevention.

This is crap (sorry) this is a money driven agency, the funds need to be cut back so that decent families aren't used as job security for the social service INDUSTRY. Your right it is a CONSUMER driven agency. CPS makes up the clientele and you pay more that 258 billion dollars a day paying for it with tax payer monies. Now you suggest doubling it to 550 billion dollars a day. Do you know what kind of monster you would be creating? As if it is not bad enough.

Meanwhile, loved children are ripped from decent parents arms. There doesn't have to be a crime, it is all civil, there is no defense. All CPS needs is an accusation. They don't need to prove it, there are no Miranda or Parental Rights to defend against a mere accusation in a civil court. No Judges realize the corruption they just blindly believe that CPS IS really out for the children when they have no interest in the children at all. Only power over innocent parents who plead on their knees in tears while sadistic social workers smirk and shake their head NO.

Here is a copy of your response and the mistakes you are making with your collaborated plans:

* More than doubling the funding for child welfare which is being used to address some of the problems you mentioned in your letter*------ NO, doubling the money, the very large amount of money only creates more greed with in the Child Protective Services Industry. More social workers to harass innocent families, more and more mandatory 'programs' for the already overwhelmed parents fighting for their kids. More price tag on children's foreheads for the State to take, more incentive for social worker job security. Put the extra money into a CPS corruption awareness campaign for citizen's, Judges, and Family Law atty's so that Parents can get their entitled defense against false accusations.

* The implementation of community-based child welfare services*----- There are already too many community-based Child Welfare Services, Why don't you implement Family rights based services to ensure that parents and families are treated fairly, to ensure our children are not HARMED unnecessarily by the already over powerful CPS. This would free up lots of social worker time to concentrate on GENUINE child abuse and SAVE TRULY ENDANGERED CHILDREN'S LIVES instead of just destroying average families.

* Continued development of HomeSafenet, a web-based information system intended to provide an electronic case file for tracking services to all child abuse victims*----- Enough of more programs and tracking families. Many innocent families stalked by the CPS have no choice but to move to other states to start over....free from the unethical and illegal practices of our current CPS. Now you want to own all families in a community by more community child welfare agencies and now tracking families where ever they go. JUST GET OUT OF INNOCENT FAMILIES LIVES! That would save a ton of money and make this all unnecessary. Put money into the hands of competent Family Law attorney's to determine if the parents ARE REALLY child abusers and give them the tools and the power to do their job...defend people!

* Equipping child abuse investigators with cell phones, laptops, and immediate access to state and federal criminal records*----- Yes, throw more money to CPS. Get them newer equipment to terrorize families with while merely on a home invasion. CPS will now be able to bust into loving families homes after a disgruntled neighbor calls in a false report to start trouble. Now, after busting into their homes they can pull out their cell phones, pagers, and lap tops to intimidate and further legalize why they dragged little Mary from her Mommy while she screams and reaches out, "Mommy, help me. I need you, Mommy, what are these people doing? Mommy, can't you save me, Mommy" Poor little Mary hasn't spent one night away from her struggling single mom ever. Instead why don't you equip citizen's panels made up of parents and grandparents to oversee CPS and make sure they are not allowed to take children needlessly or unnecessarily. Then citizen's panels made up of loving parents can track the actions of the CPS workers to ensure they are truthful and following lawful procedure. Give them laptops to look at the social workers track record, the children she has taken and their success rate. Give this citizen's panel laptops and cell phones so they can investigate the parents stories and defense. So someone will listen to the parents for a change. YOU know, abuse exists, but so do loving parents, no one will listen to the parents who in 90% of the cases are out for their child's best interest.

* Increased support services for foster parents including funding for mentoring, recruitment stipends and in-home professional staff assistance for children with serious behavioral problems*----- Great idea, give the homosexual foster parents more support and access to more and more kids to screw up with abuse, exposure to other troubled kids, and perhaps more mind controlling medication to make all children of the State zombies who will comply with the Good of the People. (Communists particularly like this statement).

* Improving independent living services for youth leaving foster care*----- How about reuniting them with biological family members they felt safe with that you took them from in the first place. By paying their way into adulthood you maintain control so they won't spill the beans on all the abuse they suffered in the system. Perhaps give them a settlement for the hell you caused them, the address of bio family members and let them go....good God let these kids go when you have finally screwed them up into adulthood. Give them access to resources to turn to, to report abuse that happened to them that no one in the State or the Nation would listen to when they were minors.

* Expanding and providing comprehensive continuum of services for parents with substance abuse and mental health disorders whose children are victims of abuse or at-risk of abuse*----- Perhaps these parents might have had a mild drug problem or problems with alcohol because of issues such as poverty or the stress of single parenting. Then you took their kids and played games with these parents heads, took their only reason for living away. Promised to give them back if they jumped through hoops, then lied and played the game of more hoops to jump through. These once minor troubled parents now just give up and jump into the abyss of drug and alcohol abuse to KILL the pain of you taking their children. Perhaps there was not even any merit to the claim that they were addicts at all, merely an angry neighbor said so. All it takes is the accusation, remember. From there on the parent is guilty. Yes, this is grand idea, keep those parents in the system for as long as you can. Throw CPS so much money they never want to let go of their control of families!!! As if they don't already.

* Enhancing domestic violence shelters and services for women and their children who are victimized by family violence*----- Sadly women who seek the help of domestic violence that have children come under attack by the CPS taking away many options that they once had. Yes, help mother's who seek refuge, but stay out of their personal choices and give individual freedom instead of using DV as another tool to attack the sanctity of families across America.

I am not involved with CPS, I only see the heartwrenching stories everyday of a system turned to chaos. Democracy has outgrown Justice and we are quickly becoming a police state and a socialized country. What would YOU do if CPS and a law enforcement officer came to your door and said, "Wendy, Sharon, we are Child Protective Services and we are here to help"? Would YOU let them in? Honestly?!
