Mena's. Home of fantastic food.

A photo of the French Quarter Holiday Inn.

A New Orleans trolley passing the Royal and Canal Street intersection.

Just a little look at the French Quarter.

Royal Street

This is a picture of our bus at the swamp.

Turtles at the swamp.

Raccoons at the swamp.

A swamp shack.

Alligator at 12 o'clock!

He's a mean lookin' sucker.

Look closely and you can see the alligator way in the back. This baby was a 12 footer.

This is the most photographed place in the swamp. It's even made it on a couple of greeting cards.

This 10 footer wasn't as big as the last one we saw, but he was more willing to show off.

A picture of the tour guide standing behind the wheel (please ignore the woman picking her wedgie).

Amy, Sam, and Lacey on the boat.

Nick on the boat.

Our swamp tour boat.

Nick and Amy wait for the bus back to the hotel.

After returning to the French Quarter, we walked down to the docks to see the Mississippi River. Here is a view from the docks.

The gang looks out over the Mississippi.

Amy, Lacey, Denise, Me, and Sam pose for a photo on the docks.

Another street in the French Quarter.

A building with a gallery near Jackson Square. Another little tidbit I picked up: a gallery comes all the way out to the street whereas a balcony does not.

See the white stone building behind the group of people? That building is a museum that houses the original Louisiana Purchase and Napoleon's death mask among other things.

The cathedral at Jackson Square.

Pat O'Brien's.

One of the most photographed buildings in New Orleans.

Here we are at our table at Rue Buourbon.

Denise, Sam, Lacey, Amy, and I with the host.

Denise, Sam, Lacey, Amy, and I with our waiter.

Rue Bourbon, an outstanding place to eat.

The painted man. He was entertaining.
