Ok, it's that time again. Picnic planning time. As you know,
reserving pavillions and buying games and prizes isn't free, .....and as
it stands, we haven't quite been reimbursed for the pavillion yet, so we
are in desperate need of cash for games and prizes.....AND WE AREN'T DOING ALL THIS WORK JUST BECAUSE WE LIKE THE FRUSTRATION.......WE WANT THIS TO BE A GOOD TIME FOR EVERYONE.....so...........
If you haven't already, please contribute to
the fund, we're asking $5 bucks (and bring a dish too). ------->unless you have a legitimate reason, IF YOU DO NOT CONTRIBUTE, YOU WILL NOT BE WELCOME AT OUR PICNIC!!!!! SO, IF YOU SHOW UP LAST MINUTE.......MAKE SURE YOU PITCH IN TO US THE MINUTE YOU GET THERE, but please try to do so before then, have some consideration for those of us trying to plan and purchase to make this picnic fun for everyone......thanks!!!!<------
Last year turned out great, we had enough to get some nice prizes for
the kids AND adults too. In spite of our missing keg & donor, we did
manage to do quite well. Which leads me to the changes for this year.
B.Y.O.B...There will be no keg......in case of any m.i.a.'s LOL.
This also solves the issues of people drinking more than their fair share,
or the kids getting into the alcohol. BYOB, supervise your own as
well. Nuff said! lol. It does suck when someone commits to bringing
something, and then doesn't show up, which is why we ask everyone to bring
thier own main dish for themselves, and then a side dish or a little something
to contribute to the festivities.
SO, in plain english, here's what you need to attend:
Bring your own alcohol, or other beverages, aka pop (cooler too), and a main dish, plate and untensils, unless you are a barbarian; whatever you
plan on cooking for yourself, (you might want to bring enough for lunch
and dinner, as it's usually a long day). Bring a side dish or something
else you can think of to contribute for everyone to enjoy. (ideas to follow).
And please get $5 bucks to Chaos or Me (ZepLynn) ASAP, as we need to shop
for entertainment and prizes.
We also need volunteers for activity planning for the kids AND
adults, and some equipment...softball equip, we need you all to bring
any outdoor toys/games you happen to have for the adults AND the kids, and we REALLY need
someone to volunteer a decent sized kiddie pool for the munchkins, and also we need a few BBQ grills.
Anyone that can help, please let me know! And don't forget the water guns!!!
