
Trimming goats' hoves is very simple. You want to cut off all of the growth on their feet, and part of their pads. If you accidentaly cut too deep, don't panic. Just run up to your house, get some flour in your hand, and then dab it on their hoof. This will stop the bleeding. You will need something like garden sheers to cut the new growth. Now, about keeping the goat in place to actually trim the hooves. I know this can be very frustrating at times because they think you're killing them, but it doesn't hurt to have their hooves trimmed. (They'd just like you to think that they're in pain.)
