Girl Scouts R Fun Outdr Fun

We took our first camping trip this summer. It was a good basic skills camp. We learned to build fires, tie knots, and cook outdoors. What did the kids like the most? The FOOD!

OUTDOOR GAMES

MR BEAR-(SWEDEN)

HOW TO PLAY: You will need an open space,at least 3 people, a place for "home" and the bear's den.
  1. One person is Mr. Bear. He is trying to sleep in his den.
  2. The other players sneak up on Mr Bear and whisper,"Mr.Bear are you awake?" Mr Bear pretends not to hear. As players get closer they get louder,"MR BEAR ARE YOU AWAKE?" Mr Bear wakes up and chases the other players. Those that get tagged before they reach base become Mr Bears' Cubs and go back to the den to sleep and help Mr Bear on the next round.
  3. When everyone is in the den, Mr Bear picks someone else to take his place.

Our troop loves this game. It can be found in the Brownie Handbook. It is great fun and no one is ever "OUT".
