The General Setup:
The clan, consisting of two equal yet opposite courts, conducts itself according to the guidelines set forth within its court structure. Each clan member will be directly associated with one of the two courts, Seelie and Unseelie, and will be guided by one clan leader who will be the court's advisor and supervisor. The remaining clan leader will help with conducting various clan activities and other responsibilities such as clan defense and recruitment of new Fae. They will not be representative of either court yet will have the ability to participate in each's activities.
Recruitment:
The recruiting process will consist of the following guidelines:
1) An applicant interest in joining Daoine, will apply directly to the clan.
2) The unattached clan leader and the recruiter will interview the perspective Fae to see if they fit the general clan needs and vice versa. If they do so, they will be referred to one of the two courts which the perspective Fae feels they would be best suited for.
3) The court leader would then interview the perspective Fae. Dependent on how that interview went, the following would occur.
a) If both parties still agree the applicant would be good for that court, than the applicant proceeds in the process.
b) If either party feels that the applicant would not fit well in that court they can either be referred to the other court and be interviewed by that court leader or withdraw their application.
c) If the applicant applies to the other court and is rejected by that one, then the application is rejected.
*Since we are all in essence still one clan, anyone may dispute an application no matter which court they are in, but good reason needs to be provided in order to refuse the application.
4) Dependant on which court the person chooses, they will have to perform a form of Prank Quest dictated by the court leader. Since the different courts follow different philosophies, the pranks should represent that court's view.
5) The final task to be accepted would be to find and kill a mob selected by the court's leader. If all the above is complete, the applicant is accepted into the clan and that court.

Obyron will provide the descriptions of the courts. [Elsewhere on this page Ed.] This is just a summary of the Pros and Cons of each
Court.
The Seelie Court:
- No PKing allowed unless attacked and must defend themselves or the clan hall
- No role-playing requirement.
- Can gain Glamour Points through various acts of silliness such as
poetry and innocent pranks.
The Unseelie Court:
- Limited amount of PK allowed which includes:
Being attacked by another player.
Clan hall being raided.
If the victim involved is in a clan listed on the Negative Clan list provided by Sunset [The Clan/Positions on Clans Ed.] or has attacked us an individual from a Neutral Clan.
- Can raid only if sanctioned by Court Leader and only with the other clan's permission as a prank. NO CLAN EQUIPMENT STEALING IS ALLOWED.
- Must actively Role-play at least half the time.
- Can gain Glamour Points through various acts of RP, PK and less innocent pranks (Not harmful or harassing though). GP will be more difficult
to gain, but will receive more for more overt acts.
GP is awarded by each Court Leader rather than one person so as to spread out the responsibility more equally and will require each Court Leader
to pay more attention to their Court's clannies. GP eligibility is dictated by the Court Leader and if GP is disputed, they clannie can petition to the Court Leader to be awarded.
Switching Court:
Once a clannie has chosen a court they must follow the guidelines of that court or be subject to outcasting, ex. Seelie Court member PKing without provocation. If they chose to, they can petition to the other court rather than outcasting to see if they will be accepted.
If you petition to switch courts, you are basically reapplying to the clan again without the multiple interviews. The applicant will be interviewed by the Court Leader, be required to do a prank and hunt quest, and ultimately be decided on by the Court as a whole. A member may only switch to another court once, unless there are extenuating circumstances and all Clan Leaders agree.
The main reason for this is reduce the amount of switching. When we first start the separate courts, already joined clan members may choose either court they wish to join. If they chose to switch courts, after making a decision, they may switch without petitioning, but only once.
