My Guardian Angel

Tanner Joe
March 15,1986

This page is dedicated to my Guardian Angel,
Tanner Joe, my first baby .
Every morning, I look up to the sky,
and blow him a kiss. At night,
before I go to sleep, I soflty whisper,
"Good night, my little love."

Stillborn
By Tammy

I carried you in hope,
The long nine months of my term,
Often felt you kick and move.
As slowly you grew within me,
Wondered what you would look like
When your wet head emerged,
Girl or Boy, and that glad moment
I shall hear your birth cry,
And I welcoming you
With all you needed of warmth and food;
I had a home waiting for you.
After my strong laboring,
Sweat cold on my limbs,
My small cries merging with the spring air,
You came. You did not cry.
You did not breathe.
I had not expected this;
It seems your birth had no meaning,
Or had you rejected me?
They will say you did not live,
Register you as stillborn.
But you lived for me all that time
In the dark chambers of my womb,
And when I think of you now,
Perfect in your little death,
I know that for me you are born still;
I shall carry you with me forever,
My child, you were always mine,
You are mine now.

The following song is for Tanner Joe

Fly

Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again

Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light

Angels Are Hard To Find©
By Tammy Bohnert

When God calls little children,
to dwell with him above,
We mortals sometimes
question
the wisdom
of his love.
Perhaps God tires
of calling
the aged
to his fold,
So he picks a
Rosebud,
before it can
grow old.
So, when little children
departs,
We who are left behind,
Must realize God
Loves children,
And angels are hard to find.

Blessed Child

When God sent you to us Tanner,
He made you from the most delicate and
precious things He could find.
So, He took a piece of the bluest summer sky,
And made them into your eyes.
Then He added a ray of sunshine,
To make them forever shine.
God then picked a perfect rose of cream,
And felt its softness.
Well that rose Tanner, became your soft skin,
Smelling so sweet.
He then searched the beaches for two
delicate pink shells.
They became your cute little ears.
God took the shape of a bright crested moon,
Which became your loving smile.
He then placed this smile on the most
beautiful lips ever seen.
He found two bright sparkling stars,
Turned them into dimples and placed them
on your rosy cheeks.
With a perfect shaped raindrop,
He lovingly formed a cute little nose,
dainty as can be.
God then reached high into the midnight sky,
And from this, He made your shiny silky hair.
Ten angels then kissed you all at once,
To make cute little wiggly fingers and toes.
He looked at you Tanner and thought-
How so very beautiful you were.
But there was one more thing He had to do
And then His job was done.
For the last and most important of all,
God took a long deep breath
And softly blew all His love,
To fill your wonderful heart.
He then looked at you again, Tanner.
And He felt so proud - you were PERFECT!
