We have just learned that 2 friends of ours have Lyme Disease. This is what inspired us to do this page. We just wanted to give them a place to rest for a while.
This song that is playing is "Open Our Eyes". It is an inspirational song and real easy to follow. The words are so simple and so complete. Sing along. You will be blessed.
Open Our Eyes, LORD
We Want To See JESUS
To Reach Out And Touch Him
And Say That We Love Him
Open Our Ears, LORD
And Teach Us To Listen
Open Our Eyes, LORD
We Want To See JESUS
Teach me to pray
Please teach me, Lord ...
I want to know
Exactly how to pray.
I need some words
Which ones are right?
Please tell me what to say.
I've bowed my head
I have knelt down,
But ... should I be upright?
I've closed my eyes,
I've raised my hands,
Or ... should I fold them tight?
Do I stand up?
Should I sit down?
Dear Lord ... what do you like?
Are lights turned on
Or are they off?
Maybe ... candle light?
Wear my glasses?
Take them off?
Be at my desk or table?
Should I whisper?
Speak out loud?
Do I quote the Bible?
What do you think
About the time?
Do You prefer the dawn?
Should I pray fast,
Or keep it slow?
Better short ... or long?
I'm new at this
What are the rules?
I want to do it right.
How do I know
You'll even hear
That I am in Your sight?
And while I sat there quietly,
Waiting for some sign,
I heard a gentle voice say,
"Oh, dearest child of mine ...
Do you think I really care
About the time of day,
Or whether you are standing up,
Or kneeling when you pray?"
"I don't care about your posture,
Or about the place you choose;
Just open up your soul to me,
I have no other rules.
Tell me what is in your heart,
And tell me what you seek;
Tell me of your sorrows,
And of those things that made you weak."
"Speak to me in private
About what concerns you most;
I know about your good deeds ...
You have no need to boast.
My child, you don't need lessons,
Just talk to me each day;
Tell me anything you want, dear child,
Anyone can pray."

NOTE: We would like to thank Lewis P. Simon for this inspirational poem. In searching for things to put on a page it is hard to find just the right things. Lewis, this was perfect, thank you.
Have you ever met a person
that fulfilled you deep inside,
someone whose never failed you
and stands, no matter, at your side.
Someone who gives from their heart
who brings sunshine all around,
always smiling and laughing, never seeming down.
Have you ever watched a sunset
across the ocean shore,
and been filled with love and peace,
never needing more.
Have you ever listened to the wind
blowing restlessly through the night,
and heard the angel's whispers
helping you to see when you've lost sight.
Have you heard a song that moves you
and sets your soul free,
and makes you forget your pain and anger
or makes you feel wild and happy.
Have you ever given to someone
when you didn't have it to spare,
and feel so worthy inside, that you didn't care.
You see my friend heavenly creatures surround you,
so listen closely to what they say,
they'll bring you all of life's riches,
as they guide you along your way.

Most Beautiful Heart
One day a young man was standing in the middle of
the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful
heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered
and they all admired his heart for it was perfect.
There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all
agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they
had ever seen. The young man was very proud and
boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.
Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the
crowd and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as
beautiful as mine."
The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's
heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars,
it had places where pieces had been removed and
other pieces put in, but they didn't fit quite right
and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in
some places there were deep gouges where whole
pieces were missing.
The people stared -- how can he say his heart is
more beautiful, they thought?
The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw
its state and laughed.
"You must be joking," he said. "Compare your heart
with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of
scars and tears."
"Yes," said the old man, "yours is perfect looking
but I would never trade with you. You see, every
scar represents a person to whom I have given my
love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to
them, and often they give me a piece of their heart
which fits into the empty place in my heart, but
because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough
edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of
the love we shared. Sometimes I have given pieces
of my heart away, and the other person hasn't
returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the
empty gouges -- giving love is taking a chance.
Although these gouges are painful, they stay open,
reminding me of the love I have for these people
too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the
space I have waiting. So now do you see what true
beauty is?"
The young man stood silently with tears running down
his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached
into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and
ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man
with trembling hands.
The old man took his offering, placed it in his
heart and then took a piece from his old scarred
heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's
heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some
jagged edges.
The young man looked at his heart, not perfect
anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love
from the old man's heart flowed into his.
They embraced and walked away side by side.

"Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved"
Romans 10:13
I Wonder
I wonder why the grass is green,
And why the wind is never seen?
Who taught the birds to build a nest,
And told the trees to take a rest?
Or, when the moon is not quite round,
Where can the missing bit be found?
Who lights the stars, when they blow out,
And makes the lightning flash about?
Who paints the rainbow in the sky,
And hangs the fluffy clouds so high?
Why is it now, do you suppose,
That Dad won't tell me, if he knows?

Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.
Matthew 18:3-5
The Handle's On The Other Side, (Revelation 3:20)
When I was little, my Dad used to drop me off at a nearby church so I
could go to the Sunday School they had there. We weren't a church-type
family so what I saw and heard there was all new to me. And I remember
this painting they had of Jesus - now I know it's one of the most
famous ones painted in modern times. You may have seen it. Jesus is in
a garden, and He's knocking on what looks to be a big oak door. The man
who painted it was named Holman Hunt. And when he was ready to unveil
it for the first time, he called his friends and family together to be
the first to see it. Well, it was pretty quiet as each person stood
there and drank in the deep feeling that painting conveys. Then people
began to comment on what impressed them about it. But one friend said
hesitantly, "Uh, Holman - it's a beautiful painting. But - well, didn't
you forget something?" "What did I forget?" The friend said, "The
handle. There's no handle on the door." To which the artist simply
replied, "Oh! No, I didn't forget the handle. When Jesus knocks on the
door of your heart - the handle's on the INSIDE."
This painting was based on Jesus' own words, recorded in our word for
today from the Word of God, Revelation 3:20. It was a statement made
originally to believers who had left Jesus out. But it also provides a
wonderful word picture of the process by which any person begins a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and
opens the door, I will come in." It's real important that we understand
what Jesus is saying here - it helps us determine whether He is inside
your heart - or outside. It's literally the difference between eternity
in heaven . . . or eternity in hell. I hope you can use this invitation
of Jesus to determine exactly where you stand with Him.
Jesus says Step 1 is the knocking. I believe that happens in your heart
when you start experiencing a spiritual tug inside . . . a restlessness
that life must be more than this . . . a strange stirring inside that
starts you looking God's direction. Then comes Step 2 - you realize
what you're looking for - actually Who you're looking for. In Jesus'
words, you "hear My voice." You realize what you are looking for is
Jesus . . . that the only way to be forgiven by God is to give yourself
to the One who paid for your sins with His life.
A lot of people have come that far. But Jesus is still outside. Jesus
said, "If anyone opens the door, I will come in." And notice who opens
the door. Jesus doesn't push His way in. He waits for you to open the
door. The handle's on the inside. And it may be that you have never
opened that door.
You agree with all the beliefs about Jesus . . . you like Jesus . . .
you know about Jesus . . . you've been around Jesus a lot - but somehow
there has never yet been that life-changing moment when you actually
tell Jesus you are opening up your life to Him. And that's the only
step that brings Jesus from outside your heart to inside your heart.
So if Jesus were to come and take away all those who really belong to
Him, you'd be left sitting where you are, maybe. But that could change
today - right now. Again, Jesus is knocking, isn't He? You can hear His
voice in you, calling your name. Isn't it time to put your hand on that
handle and say, "Jesus, come on in! Beginning today, I'm Yours."
If you've never done that, please open that door now. Get it settled
once and for all. This could be your Jesus-day. He's ready to enter
your life forever - but the handle's on the inside.
Our Father...
Our Father, which art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth, as it is in Heaven.
Forgive us our debts
As we forgive our debtors
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
Forever
AMEN

Our Testimony
We are by far, not the perfect christian, but then who is? This page is a true inspiration. When we started this page it was to be a dedication to our dear friends that have LYME DISEASE and to have links concerning this. But then it was going to be something different from that. We had to find a background so we looked and found this one (at Shawna's Graphics). Then we had to find the perfect song. We found that here Abana Praise and Worship MIDI. Now, we needed something to put on here, thus, our beautiful Angels. We chose them together, Mona and I. Now we had to decide what to put under them. It had to be perfect. I (Cathy) received an email from a friend (Lola) who had a friend (Lewis) that was just simply unbelievable. It was the inspirational poem here on this page donated by Lewis. The story about the Picture of the door was sent to me by my mom. I don't think she realized how much she has helped us. It was perfect also. The others here on the page were found on the internet. We searched and finally found the ones you see. This is how the page was meant to be.
Hi, my name is Cathy and this is my testimony. As we were putting things on this page, (that is exactly what I was doing (keyword=putting), I didn't really read or see it fully. By the time we finished, I just closed it out and didn't go back to it for 2 days. But when I did, I truly cried. I finally understood what happened. God made this page through us. It isn't just a place for you, but for me as well. It is a cleansing. To really find out who we are through the grace of God. HE is letting me know that I am no better than you. I also need a place to go. So, every time I need someone or something, I will return to this page, as I hope you will, and sit back and relax. HE is my sanctuary.
Hi, my name is Mona. When Cathy asked for my help on this page I wasn't sure where we were headed. I to, as like Cathy, left the page and then went back and really read it. I too cried, as the words really made me stop and think. I am by far a person who goes to church but I beleive that God knows my temple is within and I know that I have HIM with me all the time. The "Teach Me To Pray" is alot of what I think God is all about. HE doesen't care how we do it, as long as we do, and HE is there to guide us. I don't have to walk in a church to worship my Lord, I can do it in my car, my home, or anywhere I am. This page has been so beautifully done by such a beautiful lady (Cathy). There has been a lot of good effort put into this page and hope all come here to relax often. God bless one and all.
We would love for you to tell us your testimonies. We have added a Special Forum for just this reason. Click here.
These angels are blowing you a kiss from God to let you know that you are truly loved.
These are for your own enjoyment.

We do hope you find the serenity here. As you can tell, we have no links so far. We wanted you to enjoy this as long as possible. We do realize of course, that a page would not be a page without links, so..., here are some that we have enjoyed.
