New issue. *whew* First time I've had to rush to get an issue in on time. 11-27-00: WE'RE MOVING! That's right, sometime in the next two weeks, Kan Kong will be joining the Keenspace family of online comics. Our reason for moving? Free hosting, free advertizing, free updates. Keenspace is one of the best comic-hosting services on the web, and I intend to take advantage of it. "But what," you ask, "will become of www.kankong.bomar.net? Will I still be able to access Kan Kong from there?" Well, no. But, if you should enter that URL, you will be redirected to our new domain (http://kankong.keenspace.com). Okay, I'm getting a little scared here. If you've been voting for me at the COMIX/pedia link, thank you; I just checked and Kan Kong's up to #4! I do have to wonder, though, whether we're really getting this many new visitors, or whether you guys are multiple-voting. Not that I'm complaining, mind you--every little bit of publicity helps. 11-21-00: New issue. 11-20-00: Okay, in a fit of ambition yesterday, I began redesigning the page. I'm mostly done now--still have to put some navigation links in the archived comics. So far I've completely redesigned the main page (as you can see) and refined the main Archive page (it now has frames and a brief description of each issue) and the Cast page. I'll probably leave the Link and Banner pages alone--they don't really need any more tweaking. (See, Joel? I told you I could do better!) 11-19-00: Okay, for a Thanksgiving treat, I'm giving all you wunnerful people two (count 'em) issues this week--today and Tuesday (I won't have computer access Wednesday). Just don't expect this too often--I probably won't ever be a week ahead again. 11-15-00: New issue. Also, I'm trying an experiment this week and next. When you access the new comic, you'll hear music (hopefully). This is the episode's theme. Let me know on the Message Board whether you love it or hate it, okay? Okay. Also, you see that nifty picture at the top of the menu frame? That's this site's ticket to greatness. I hope. So here's what I need you guys to do. Whenever you come to the site, just give that guy a li'l clicky--it'll open up a different site in this frame, but the menu'll still be there. You can get wherever you want just as easily as before, and I'll have a vote. Thanks! 11-08-00 (early): Okay, I was staying up late to watch the Presidential returns for my US Government class (they're predicting another 45 minutes, oy), so I put up a new issue. Read. Learn. Enjoy. I need some sleep. 11-03-00: I've put up a banner page for anyone who wants to link to us. New issue Wednesday! 11-02-00: As promised,
I've added a message board to this site. It's not the most flexible ever
(it can't handle HTML), but it's still better than freeloading on the Joe
the Circle board. Oh yeah--I can also delete messages at will, so no impersonating
the moderator! ;^) Oh, and if you only want to access the board (no frames),
head to
11-01-00: Episode 3 is now up. Those of you who missed Episode 2 should look in the archives (I know, I was rather eager to get another issue up quickly). So far Mike Shapiro at Joe the Circle been really nice about my use of the MoB to plug my strip (thanks Mike!), but I don't want to wear out my welcome. Bear with me a little while longer, folks, 'cause I'm working on getting a message board of my own (if I can ever figure the program out). That's all for now. 10-24-00: I finally have gotten a scanner. It's not the greatest quality ever, but at least it's readable. There'll be a new episode every week, starting next Wednesday. Okay, so here's the problem. When I drew these comics,
I didn't have the size of a computer screen in mind. Then I designed the
page with frames. This was partly
