Bio

My name is Kevin Peck. I am the founder of ESTEN Motorsports. This site is to tell you a little about myself. I've been in the automotive industry since 1993, since I graduated from Wyoming Technical Instutite (top Tech school in the nation) with a Associates degree in Collision/Refinishing Technology & Street Rod Building/Auto Customizing ( the only courses like them in the world at the time). I graduated in the top 3% of my class. I got bit by the minitruck bug in 1988, when I traded my 1979 Chevy Malibu Classic for a 1983 standard/short V6/auto S10. I was timid at first about tearing it apart, but I soon overcame that and it went lower with a set of 15x10 Ultra tris with 195/50r15 (remember that?). I have bought, sold, or currently own ten S10s, Sonomas, Blazers, and Jimmys. S10s have become somewhat of a passion over the years, don't get me wrong, I like other minis, but S10s are my favorite. You will not find a more versitle, inexpensive, and available truck. I have been an avid fabricator since 1994, I enjoy it to its fullest, and love to see a project take shape. Well, enough about me how about some current project information and personal ride.

My "daily driver" is a 1997 S10 SS. It came factory all black with red accents and the ZQ8 suspension package. I bought it as a bank reposession about seven months ago. It was keyed, hit in the rear bumper and hit a little down the passenger side. First thing to do was to replace the bumper with a step shaver kit from Godfather Customs, repair the body and replace the passenger side mirror. But the first thing I did was install a set of 16x8 AR Atlas wheels with 225/50ZR16 Firestone ATXs. Here it is right after I bought it...

Shortly after the pictures were taken the all of the body damage was fixed and it was painted by Chad Downton at Southside Collision Center, here in Indianapolis. With a little computer enhanced lowering here is the truck after the paint job, notice the passenger mirror is still missing.

Soon after that was Mininats in Pigeon Forge, TN. So I dressed up the motor, installde a mirror and installed all of the logos for the first showing of Esten Motorsports latest project. Here it is...

Getting serious after Indy Truck Bash, I installed a whole new front end including a 2" Harwood cowl hood. Lowered it to its current 4"/5" stance. I finally have all of the updates done on my truck before winter sets in here in Indiana. Below is a full list of all of the modifications. This winter I plan on polishing more under the hood, adding more billet, and spending a lot of time on the interior.
