An infamous face around Cajun Nights, yet well know by a lot of people, is Vince Alistan, Ph.D.
Vince has a wide history around the town. Some have known him as a wonderful,
charming, nice fellow... Others have known his as a lover or ex-lover.... Whereas
there are always those few that don't want to have anything to do with him.
Vince has been around the town for sometime now. He was born here, to a weathly family. He never was a well known boy as he was home schooled until he went away to college. When he finally went away, he stayed away for a few years, earning a few Ph.Ds, and also somethings that a people wouldn't like to know he got involved in, nothing to do with drugs, Vince would never try them.
When Vince finally came back to New Orleans, He was a shadowy character... Not
all to social or getting involved in maybe conversations, a loner. After selling
his parents old home, and moving into the Mayfair, he started to make his face
known around the town. He met Asheton and has always respected him, concidering
him as a friend, a best friend. The first person that Vince ever concidered
a love was Angelique St. Claire. The two hit it off wonderfully from the start...
But something happened and they lost touch. After that, Vince wandered the streets
alone, searching for that one that could bring happiness to his heart.
That's when the next biggest role stepped into his life, Tasah Myan. The two
had a rocky start, but after a few months, the two were living together. After
a bit of time passed, Vince asked Tasah to marry him, and the two eloped together,
suprising many people. There life was great, the two had it all... And that's
when the tragedy hit. Vince was gone away, seeing his parents, when he learned
that they had passed away. After spending a month up in Maine, he came back.
Within the next three or so months, Tasah had just vanished on him, and a divorce
was file.
Now, with the divorce settled, Vince once again wanders the street alone, spending
many nights just sitting in the City Park's Lagoons, looking out over the water.
He loves it the most when it rains, as no one will see him cry as he thinks
of Tasah, and the wonderful life that the two had together.
It has been many years since the Divorce. Since then Vince has learned that
Tasah has passed away. It was a hard thing for Vince to accept, as he loved
her very much. The next few months he wandered the streets, having lost touch
with many of his old friends, most of which moved away and he hasn't seen since.
That is when he met Angelica Moore, a name many people have heard around the
town. There was a short fling that nothing serious came about from, but he realized
how much he cared for another. After about six months of seeing the lady named
Sile, he asked her to marry him. He was overjoyed when she agreed to it. The
only thing that ultimately kept the two apart was her job.
The engagement was called off when Sile had been called away to work at a remote
site for the company she was employed at, and Vince was left alone once again.
After that, he decided to take a trip up to Maine and visit his parents old
house and gravesites.
He spend close to a year out of New Orleans, most of which was in Maine, but
the rest was traveling and letting his life die back down. He has recently come
back to the City, resettled back into his suite at the Mayfair and has hit the
high life once more. It will be a challenge for him to get back into the groove
of things, but he has conquered many things before, this won't be the last.
Since then he's had many experiences and has gained some more stories to tell
of his life. However, during this time is when he met the next woman to steal
his heart away. Marguerite de Barbaraque, the owner and chef at Marguerite's.
The timing was off between the two as they had many thing come up to tear them
apart and lead them off on different paths.
Marguerite ended the relationship shortly, as she obtained a job in Paris. This
caused Vince to take care of some more things, getting his mind set clean and
clear as he continued on with this life. That is, until she came back. He didn't
get word until a week or so afterwards that she was back, and he went to see
her. Someone that would play a big part later in the two's lives was Vince left
her with a necklace.
The two didn't get together right away, rather stayed apart for a few more months
as asked from Marguerite. And so, Vince led his life, finding small glints at
love in others, but none matched what he felt for with Marguerite. In the time
since he met Marguerite, over a year now, he only grew to love her. This was
shown when he was dating Veronica Marcelli, a retired actress living in the
city.
Veronica and Vince hit it off pretty well, but things grew too fast into something
really serious. THe relationship was cut short, due to the speed it was progressing,
and the fact that Marguerite had finally admitted her love to Vince. Now the
two are back together, Marguerite and Vince. It's been a couple months so far,
and things only seem to get better for the two, maybe there is hope for these
two after all?
The two evenutally got engaged and such was going grand for them. Moving to Paris, they had tried to start a new life there, and see how successful her restaurant could handle up against the other leading names. The two had been doing great for a few months, and plans of marriage were well on their way. That is, until it seemed that many of the past events of Vince's life, and tragedy came back into his life, and the whole thing was called off. Seemed the two had a major fight over something and he had to just leave to get on with his life. The two had just too much standing between them to every truely be worked out.
Spending some tome up in Maine first, seems to be his ritual any more. He looses a love, he spends a month or so in Maine visiting his parents resting place. Now finally he has come back home, moving back into the Mayfair and wants to hit the big easy once more in hopes that maybe things will turn around for him.
