INDIANA'S LARGEST ARTILLERY AND ARTILLERY NIGHT FIRE EVENT

 

  1. Step back in time to the period of 1861 to see how the Civil War Soldiers   dressed,  lived, and fought.

       This event is a reenactment and living history that covers the time period in which

      are country was divided as a  Nation, brother against brother, father against son,

        and son against father. 

 

        During this event you will be able to see demonstrators, on going presentations,   

        three battles which covers Shiloh. Visit the sutlers  who sold their goods to

        the  soldiers and civilians.  Walk through the camps and converse with the

        soldiers and civilians.  You can also purchase both period and non-period food.

       

        Watch the oxen when they are at work pulling the CSA artillery.  Visit the

         blacksmiths, weavers,  spinners, rug maker, and the medicine show.

 

        Other activities to see:  Ladies Tea and Fashion show,  the Marion Salvation

        Army  Band which will give two concerts in the modern area on Saturday;

        military ball Saturday evening, spectacular and colorful artillery night fire 

        Saturday evening.  Presentation by Pres. Lincoln, Pres. Jefferson Davis,

        Gen. Picket, Gen.  Grant, Gen. Lee, Gen. Custer,  and Gen. Buford,  Company 

        Singers,  Mrs. Joseph Davis, sister-in-law, to Pres. Jefferson Davis, Sophia the

        Slave and Harriett Tubman, and  many more.

 

        Visit are saloon and purchase ice cold root beer, pickles, and beef jerky.  Also 

        take a look at our jail and other cabins.
