ASKED QUESTIONS what's
the first thing to do after arrival ? Remain
on bus, or buses until school representative has gone to the registration table
to pick up packet of information and pay admission, (payment by check will speed
up the process). Once this is completed the school representative will
return to buses, distribute material, and then enter grounds as a group. once
inside THEN what
?
In your packet is a map of our site and
instruction on how to use it. Use the map to navigate your way around the grounds.
Keep your group together as you walk around and seek out the many presenters who are located all around the area.
Find one that is not too crowded and gather your class around to hear what he/she has to say.
Please make sure that your group is quiet during the presentation and remind them to respect the presenter’s property.
Be vigilant that the kids in your group not use profanity. Caution your class about going near livestock, animals may bite or kick. Please inform the members of your group not to sit on split rail fencing, and please be responsible for making sure that all trash finds it’s way into the trash barrels.
Especially glass root beer bottles (please take care not to break them when
disposing in trash barrels). LOST
ITEMS Report
all lost items at the registration tent or call us after the event - (765) 348-9163. If you find something that doesn't belong to
you, please
take it to the registration tent near the entrance to the grounds. WHAT
IF IT RAINS ? We
do not cancel because of rain. If rain seems eminent, then come prepared for it. Have the
kids wear caps, rain coats and boots or bring a supply of garbage bags so they can cut holes for
their head and arms to slip over their body. This will keep them dry.
It has been our
observation that kids love the rain and don't seem to mind getting a little (or totally)
wet. For those who would rather stay dry, there will be a WHAT
IF You
can still come if not registered, or you haven't received a confirmation
for the registration form that your submitted. You can also call (765)
499-0039. can
we buy or should we bring our lunch ? You
can have the kids bring their lunch or they can purchase it from one of the food venders
at the event. do
we need to inform you of changes in the number of students we are bringing to the event ? Yes,
if the number of students and teachers changes substantially from the original
registration form, we would like to know. BECAUSE
YOU SENT US A REMINDER, WE WERE WONDERING IF YOU RECEIVED OUR CONFIRMATION ? The reminder is intended for those schools who have not yet
sent in their registration forms and also to remind everyone that the event is
getting near. what
about the handicapped
?
There
are no paved trails, however, handicapped parking is available and much of our
attractions are near the handicapped parking area which is paved. .. |
