4-H is a wonderful club. It is involved in a great number of community services. The club members stay active in smaller divisions such as computers, sewing, Creative Arts & Crafts, cooking, raising animals, rocketry, and other activities. It teaches us to be responsible, and allows us to meet, and interact with other people. It's really fun, and exciting. It's more than you ever imagined.
Shafter is located in California's Central Valley near Bakersfield. It's a small farming community. Shafter 4-H goes out in the community by helping out in fund raisers, doing flag salutes for certain events, and doing various other community projects. Shafter 4-H meets in the Richland Activity Center located west of the Richland Intermediate School. Normally we meet the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. At our meetings we talk about things that we are involved in, we report on the project meetings that we have had and activities that we have taken part in and we discuss upcoming events and our involvement in them.
This web page is designed to let you know about our club and what it has been doing lately. If you live in or near our community, perhaps you may want to get involved.
