Soon enough, this guy comes up to me and this other girl who was standing with me, and shakes our hands and signs my cover. It was Joey Shuffield(drummer of Fastball). I got a picture with him, then thanked him and left to go back to my spot at the front railing which my friend Karen was saving for me.
During the concert there were some technical difficulties, but all in all it was reallay cool. Since I was up front, I waved to Joey time and time again and he smiled and waved or acknowledged me back, which was really nice. I had a sign asking for his drumsticks, so at the end of the concert he came to the edge of the stage and threw them to me. I caught both, even though I had to struggle a little with another girl for one of them. I gave one of them to Karen.
So then we went around to where I had met Joey before, and there was a small crowd around Fastball, and they were autographing things for people. I got Tony's and Miles' Autographs on my album cover to accompany Joey's. I didn't get a chance to say anything to them because they were really busy signing everyones stuff. So then I walk over to Joey again, and have him sign my drumstick. He ask's my name, and I got a hug from him:) He's a really sweet guy. Tony was the first to leave, and Karen wasn't able to get his autograph. Joey was the last to leave. Seem's like he's the friendliest, although it was a short encounter. It was a fun day, and we went home happy:)
Here's a picture of Joey during the concert when he took time out to smile for the camera. More comin soon, including the one of me and him, and a pic of the autographed cd cover:) ****DO NOT TAKE PICS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION****
