Other suggestions for
bringing home a newly adopted animal...........
Bring a leash and adjustable
collar with you for puppies and dogs.
Bring a small animal
carrier if you plan on adopting a grown cat. You will need a animal
carrier anyway for outings and trips to the vet for a small dog or a cat.
Have items ready at home
for the newly adopted, such as food and water bowls set out, litter box,
etc....then show them where they are when you get home with them.
Be sure you get them checked
out by your vet.

This is the address of the volunteer doing the webpage for the Pet Port, if you write, please be patient. I check email everyday but might, take me a little bit to get questions answered. If you need to know if maybe your lost animal has been turned into the Pet Port, or if you are looking for a specific type of dog or cat, then it is best to just call them. They are happy to answer any questions you might have.
