Lutheran Women of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
Franklin, Indiana (L.W.G.S.)
LWGS is affiliated with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League(LWML)through membership in the Columbus Zone of the LWML and the Indiana District LWML. L.W.G.S. meets at the church on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. for Bible Study, that is followed by the business meeting. Occasionally, special programs may be presented. When a party or pitch-in is planned, the starting time is 6:30 P.M.
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League was started as an act of faith; faith in God that He would provide the means to carry on His work; faith in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ who not only gave the command to carry the Gospel to all the world, but also promised that He would always be with us: faith too in the love and loyalty of our women and their willingness to consecrate themselves to serve Him wherever and whenever he has need of them. This faith has been more than justified by the blessings He has showered on the League. May our Lord continue to and bless the efforts of this organization.
