Cubicle Gallery

For my birthday, Deb R. surprised me
with a fabric postcard! See it both in
the upper right corner of the picture
and the upper left corner of the
computer screen.
As seen on Deb's blog!
Other noteworthy items in this
gallery shot include the array of
floral greeting cards behind the
monitor and the ceramic 'plates' that
I made in college. (oooh...antiques!)
note: double duty ceramic plates hide
unsightly computer cords quite nicely.
Here's a nice juxtapositioning
of the new fabric postcard in the
theme of "Sun" shining brightly
above Arnell's "Moon" image from the
2004 Tarot Art Calendar

The Cubicle Gallery randomly displays
artwork from Arnell and Leslie's past
Tarot Art Calendars because the images
are too cool not to enjoy after their
designated month has become history.

As we move to the right of the Sun
and Moon exhibit, we see a card that
resembles Annie the Cat. Leslie's
High Priestess postcard is mirrored
nicely by a matching shrine. Also seen
are a few family photographs, a framed
print of The Fool and a small collection
of stone eggs.
The relative proximity of numerous
tea canisters to the Sun postcard.
Although it would seem that Republic
of Tea
is the brand of choice, other
teas do get put into the rotation.

Current offerings include:
Sweet Lemon (loose tea from 'Coffee Please')
Mango Ceylon, Lady Apple Green Tea, Rose
Petal, White Tea, Comfort and Joy, Tazo Joy,
Jackson's Jasmine Tea and Tazo Darjeeling.

As we browse past the wing of
commercial iconography, we learn
it's a little known fact that the
Patron Saint of workplace productivity
is Nuts the Squirrel. Here he and
his family stand guard of their stash
hidden inside Jelly Belly tins and out of
sight from the Big Boy bobblehead.
And the Polar Bear poster from the
Cincinnati Zoo is just chillin'.
Directly behind the desk is the main
Mary Engelbreit gallery. The Cherry
Girl in a framed poster is displayed
alongside a Home Sweet Home pillow
hanging. And past the (gasp!) work folders
and papers is a bright flowered lunch tote
(with red sequins) and the ultra cool
brown suede guest chair with a rust color
satin accent pillow. On the shelves, you
will notice multi colored plastic leis
draped from the blue clip-on fan which
adds to the tropical ambiance.
Back at the desk, we stumble upon
the 'secret garden' Mary Engelbreit
gallery tucked away to the side of the
computer monitor. Amongst the cheery
little totchkes is a container of mints
from the best department store ever.
The dude in tighty whities flexes his
muscles in a visual pun on those
"curiously strong mints". Seen in the
foreground are a crystal Hershey Kiss
and a partially visible glass bluebird of
happiness.
A seasonal display of typical Halloween
stereotypes include the witches broom
and black cat. To the side, Green M&M
dressed as a witch and a S'mores ghost.
The nameplate on the ledge boasts the
gallery curator's holiday name of
Sally Screamin'. Everyone at the office
has a silly Halloween name. It's fun.

Notice the nice empty shelves of the
adjoining cubicle. The Cubicle gallery
has thought about annexing the space, but
hasn't sought zoning approval from office
management at this time.

The desk drawer boasts various writing
implements, a wicked pair of scissors
a Scotch repositional glue stick, 16 tubes
of lipstick, 4 lip liner pencils, 3 pots o'gloss,
2 purple gel pens, 1 sample size mascara...
and a nail clipper in a leather case!
