11-24-99: Well, where can I start, there is alot to go over. On November 10, our new, KME, pumper arrived finally! And as of November 21, it was put in service. Along with this new pumper, we got a bunch of new equipment, including right at 2700 feet of hose. The apparatus section will be up soon, and I WILL have pictures, so every firefighter out there will be able to enjoy the eye candy we do. The site is going to get a go over, the layout will stay the same, but I'm going to add more pages, pictures of all the trucks, pictures of our guys in action, live training burns, and anything else we think fits the profile of this department. Also, I'm in the process of designing patches for our FD, and if any of you patch traders out there are wanting to do some trading, let me know, and I'll contact you when I get the design done, email you the design, then you can see if you want one, and if you want to trade, we'll trade. Well, thats about all for now, as always, any questions, comments, suggestions, referrals, put-downs, or slams can be emailed to ME.
10-5-99: This will now be the EEVFD's news, and the site's news. Be sure to check for updates. Our new pumper is expected October 23, or the 28th. Hopefully the former. The "Apparatus" section will be up as soon as we get our new pumper, so I can include it in all the pics. So far this year, we have had more than 60 runs, breaking our former record. Most of those are brushfires, due to the abnormally dry conditions, and the ban on open burning in the state of Indiana. If you're reading this, and your from anywhere near Switzerland county, DON'T BURN ANYTHING!!!! No matter what you do, the fire'll find a way to get around it. Hopefully, this site will be completed by the first of the year. Alot more will be added as soon as I get more time, or find someone else on the Department willing to learn HTML. Our 1999 Dodge brush truck has taken a major beating and break in period. The right bed side will have to be replaced, and some new paint be applied to cover up the scratches. We are in the process of getting quotes to fix the truck, but decided to wait until this winter, when it won't be needed as much. Thats about all the news for now. More later.
9-1-99: This part of the site is just now getting up, so bear with
me. All I have done right now, is added this section, the "splash
screen", and made the "frames", "no frames" option. But to do that,
I had to rework the other pages and add navigation to them, so they are
modified as well. Check back soon for more updates. Once a
month is about what's expected of me for updates. We will have more news, and a few other
parts up soon.
