| Grand Admiral | GA | Grand Admirals will oversee everything and report directly to the Emperor. They command entire fleets, and normally do not directly take command of ships, with the exception of a flag ship. Most give commands to the officers 3 or 4 ranks below for them to carry out. The Grand Admirals' orders are superceded only by the Emperor. |
| Fleet Admiral | FA | Fleet Admirals oversee Admirals and report to the Grand Admiral. They, like Grand Admirals, do not control ships directly, but maintain contact with the Admirals of the task forces. They may choose a flag ship, which they hold the right to command. |
| Admiral | Adm | Admirals are the people who oversee large task forces. They do not directly command a ship, but do reserve the right to command a flagship. They command the Rear Admirals in the task force. |

Rear Admiral | RA | Rear Admirals are assigned ships in the Fleet,and report directly to the Admirals. They also advise and aide the Admirals. |
| Vice Admiral | VA | Vice Admirals command two or three commodores ships. Their forces consist of six or more capital ships and any number of smaller craft. |
| Commodore | Com | Commodore does not command a ship directly but can take command of a ship if needed. A Commodore will command a small task force, normally two capital ships or more and multiple smaller ships. Commodores can also oversee 2 or 3 space stations. |
| Captain | Cap | Captains are commanders of all capital ships, with very rare exceptions. They also command any ships stationed with theirs. |

Commander | Cmdr | A Commander can be the head of a space station. They can be an XO but that is very rare. They also head some projects, and are often aides to the Captain of a captial ship. |
| Lieutenant Commander | LtC | Lt. Commanders can be the XO on a capital class ship or command 4 small class ships or 2 mid size ships or be an XO on a space station. |
| Lieutenant | Lt | Lieutenants are aides to higher ranking officers, and can command small craft. Lieutenants can also be the XO on a capital class ship. |
| Lieutenant Junior Grade | LtJg | A Lieutenant Junior Grade is an XO on a small class ship, but in some cases does command a very small ship. |
| Ensign | Ens | Ensign is the lowest ranking officer. They are ordered by all other officers, and command only enlisted personnel. Ensigns may be promoted for valor or skills shown during wartime. |
