I don't remember where I was, when I first heard Crucify, but I remember looking and looking for the cassette single. The most notable part of the song is her singing the word "chains" (anyone who knows this song, knows exactly what I mean). I don't know if Crucify had just been released, or if I'd just heard it, but at the time there was a song by Tina Arena called Chains. I bought this single and remember being very disappointed.
I never heard Tori's Crucify on the radio again.

A few months (or maybe it was even a year) later, my best friend introduced me to Tori Amos's music. She had just released Under The Pink, but I didn't know it. I copied my best friend's Little Earthquakes CD and fell in love with her voice. I realized that Crucify was the song I had been looking for so long ago. At the time, I was more into punk-rock, but I always held onto that tape. To this day I don't own the Little Earthquakes CD, I listen to that cassette.

Since that time, I've bought her CDs and recently began a poster collection. From the Launch interview with her, she admits she knows little about computers, but Tori's popularity online is amazing (see links below).

From a humanitarian perspective, Tori is something of an angel to some. She began RAINN (Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network) after her experience with rape, which she wrote Me & A Gun about.

Tori Amos's music is beautiful to the ears and her words are music for the soul. She treats her fans with the utmost respect and is as dedicated to them as they are to her.
