Congratulations to Mick Foley, WWF.COM's Man of the Year!

In recognition of getting screwed more times than a White House intern. For taking more steel chairs to the head, shedding more blood, and most importantly, making us laugh more than anyone else in the World Wrestling Federation.

On Monday, December 28, WWF.COM will be presenting Mick a
plauqe in honor of this occassion! Check out Code Red that night
beginning at 8:30pm ET for highlights of the award ceremony. On
Tuesday you will be able to see the entire ceremony--including what
is sure to be a classic acceptance speech--right here on WWF.COM!

In a year which he fell through a cage, off a cage, was pushed off the
stage in a dumpster, was chokeslammed on thousands of
thumbtacks, took too many chair shots to the head to even count and
absorbed an insane amount of punishment, the King of Hardcore was
consistently disrespected, taken advantage of and SCREWED by his
employer M r. McMahon.

Now Time Magazine has decided to join in on the fun. Each year the
weekly publication names a "Man of the Year." While this honor is
usually reserved for such admirable and respectable individuals such
as Bill Clinton, Kenneth Starr or Sadam Hussein, many World
Wrestling Federation Fans felt Foley deserved his due respect. Using
Time's 'on-line' voting, they had their voice heard.

With the unrelenting support of the
greatest fans in the world, Foley blew
away the competition. The Deranged
One was in first place by tens of
thousands of votes. In fact, Foley
received over half all votes cast! That
means that 1 out of every 2 people
voting chose Foley as their "Man of the
Year!"

But this annoyed Time. Claiming that Foley was undeserving of the
honor, the geniuses who run Time.com made a change so that his
name was ineligible. Although the history books will always state that
Clinton and Starr were Time's 1998 "Men of the Year," in our hearts
and minds we know the truth.

Every one of us at WWF.COM have nothing but the utmost respect
and admiration for Foley. We decided that if no one else would
honor him--WE WOULD!

He has dedicated his life to entertaining millions of fans around the
world. If that is not worthy of being named "Man of the Year" we
don't know what is.

This is our way of thanking one of the hardest working men in sports-entertainment and letting him know that there are millions upon millions of people around the world who owe him for everything he has done.
