Pazhangalam is a beautiful agricultural village in Nedumpana Grama Panchayat. It is in the border of Kollam Parliament Constituency and Chathanoor Legislative Constituency (now in Kundara Constituency). The main attraction of this village is the paddy field which is dividing the village in to two lengthy parts. Bricks and Cashew are the two important small scale industries here. There are about 7 Bricks factories and 5 Cashew factories functioning now. There is one Higher Secondary School, one Upper Primary School (my school) , one Lower Primary School and some Kids care centres. We have one Co-operative Society and one Milk Marketing Society here. Thiru Pazhangalam Sree Dharmasastha Temple is the only one temple in our village and it is very famous in its traditional and cultural heritage. The CPI(M) and the INC are the two important Political parties in our village
 
 

Paravur

Paravur is the third Municipal Town in Kollam District. It is in Kollam Parliament Constituency and Chathanoor Legislative Constituency. Paravur is one of the beautiful place in the district with its Seabeech and its cultural heritage. Arabean Sea is the west border for Paravur. Coir, Cashew, Fishing and Bricks are the important industries. Paravur backwater is very famous for its natural beauty. Govt. of Kerala recently started some projects to explore this beauty with their Tourism Package.Puttingal Devi temple, Pozhikkara Pozhi, Birth place of G. Devarajan (the famous music composer), the elephant village, etc are the main attractions of Paravur. Paravur town is well connected by Rail and Road.
