I finally have this single. I really enjoy it. Okay, so I have three Hunter singles.
I have one french single I got from MusicBlvd.com and two that I am in the
process of trading a CD-r of rare Bjork songs with Edo for in Italy (hi!)
But therefore I have only part 2 of the french version but both versions of the
other.

Bachelorette
The newest single from Bjork is out (overseas, of course) and so is the video
on MTV. In fact the video was voted video of the week by 12 Angry Viewers. Just
a week or so ago. The video seems to be about a book that Bjork finds. Or is
it the character of Isobel who finds it. There is so much story within a story
in this video that it gets a bit insane at one point, where there is a play
with people watching a play who are watching people watch a play about Bjork.
Or is that Isobel??? Anyway... The video was directed by Michel Gondry who
also directed Human Behaviour and Isobel, which if you watch them in
sequence it seems to tell the story of Isobel, you know? But I think that was
intentional. I'll try to eventually get a track list to you...
I finally got the 12" for Bachelorette, with the Alec Empire remix on it, and
a Howie B "Spread" mix on the other side. And I got a CD single, too, that
has 5 remixes of "Bachelorette" and also the song "My Snare" (aka Nature is
Ancient...). I really like the Zip remix by Mark Bell, and I get them to
play it at Oxygen.
homogenic
Björk's next album, Homogenic, is out (duh!).
I think I may have had a dream of the cover of Homogenic, or
maybe it was just the single . Here's some info on the new album :
TRACK LIST
Hunter
Joga
Unravel*
Batchelorette
All Neon Like
5 Years
Immature
Alarm Call
Pluto
All is Full of Love
This 10 track Cd is awesome. I love these songs.
Mostly Immature and Alarm Call (at the moment).
Bjork has surpassed Post and Debut and moved into
a different performer, like a shape-shifter in
Bachelorette, the sequel to Isobel...
Joga
The first single is destined to be for "Joga" and it looks like
it will be a 3 CD set. If it's anything like Possibly Maybe I hope
it comes with a box that won't easily get crushed before it gets to
you... I think that it will be coming in a 3 part set with a VIDEO
that has a little velcro thing that keeps it shut. Here they are :
CD ONE
Joga (Howie B. String and Vocal Mix)
Buzz Waster Mix
All is Full of Love
CD TWO
Joga - LP version
Immature (piano and vocal mix)
So Broken
CD THREE
Joga - LP version
Alec Empire Mix
AE Digital Hardcore mix Pt. 1
AE Digital Hardcore mix Pt. 2
I actually bought this ! I will be writing a story about that later !
Jóga - Mother Records
jóga - Howie B's Mix
sod off
immature - Björk's mix
so broken
This will probably be a single in the US. I have
heard talk from a lot of local music stores that
there is something out from Björk either out
on the 16th or the 30th. This is probably sooner.
What's New?
10/17/97 - Today I finally updated this page. I forgot to do it
since Homogenic came out. I feel kind of silly... 1/13/98 - Updated with info on Bachelorette. More soon ! I promise. 4/10/98 - I added new news and also a section for the upcoming Alarm Call single. Oh yeah, and I bought the box set for Joga the other day. 7/12/98 - just a little bit of stuff. I mean, if Websense can forget May and then skip most of June... 9/30/98 - Updated "Hunter" and news and some other stuff : )
11/9/98- More updates for alarm Call and videos...
2/27/99- Help I'm lost and I cannot find my friends!!!
Why I (will always) like Bjork's Music
Bjork, the performer is a most interesting music-maker. When I say this
I think I mean that she makes the most interesting music. I won't go
into Bjork's personal life here, nor much about mine but I will tell you
what I like about her music, in general.
Can you really call it techno? What is techno? Is that some kind of
Alternative Music? I remember a few years back on Channel One that they
used to have in some schools, that there was this segment on Techno music.
I don't think they mentioned Bjork - Debut wasn't out yet. But techno
music has been around for a long time, especially the way Bjork seems
to say. I mean, there has always been electricity, in lightning. And
that's part of nature. Electronica is just, like harnessing that, and like,
nature.
I got to
briefly meet Björk at Tower Records in Chicago on Jan. 20 of this
year ('97) I gave her a tape I had made myself . I drew a
picture of her
(I didn't have a camera !) and she made a comment about it . I was one of
the first few people in line , too .I met some pretty cool people in the
line . One was a bepper , the other was a mighty cool Björk fan who
had Kukl albums, Björk albums... you name it. It was fun just sitting there
and talking about something.
When I went up to her, I gave Björk a tape I had made ...
something in return , for all the wonderful music she's made. I'll try to
put the picture up here, soon . Also I'll put the picture someone
did take of me and Björk, where I look kind of stupid, but that's
okay, cause Björk's in the picture, too.
In this picture you can see someone in the background
with a Bjork 1977 album (mike) , if you look closely. I am of
course pointing to Telegram, making up my mind which one
I wanted Bjork to sign.(I borught the Post book and the
new Telegram CD. And, furthermore to all the people
who keep emailing me saying "You're so lucky..." : if you
follow your dreams you can do anything you put your
mind to. If you want to make music, then do it, if you
want to be an artist then do it. Don't let anyone tell you
that you can't do this or that...
Hey Edo, thank you for the "hunter" singles. Hi, Novagirl - Chicago was really fun and I was suprised to find a lot of
Bjork stuff there and I look forard to going back I'll put some of your pictures on this page, too .
Hey Money, have you looked at this page at all? It really hasn't
changed much. Oh yeah, Brian and Mike - those people in Line to see Bjork @ Tower in '97- it wasn't that cold outside, but it sure
was cool to be the first few people inside... All is full of love, y'all.
Bjork pleasantly surprises me all the time, of course.
Thank you ALL who have signed my guestbook.
To those who haven't ...
What's UP !!! Tell me what you think of this page.
is it Brilliant, is it Stupid,
too Big or too Small?
The fine line between reality and Bjork is purely fictional, all rights
have been left to be reserved by those people who read these tiny little
letters at the bottom of the page...
