But the good news is in Romans 6:23 we read, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Salvation is just that, a free gift. We cannot earn our way to Heaven. I pray that if you are a person like I used to be, or not, that you would see your need to have a relationship with Jesus. But you say, "No way man, if God knows everything, then He knows how bad of a person I am." I thought that as well. But read my pumpkin analagy.
Have you ever been out to a pumpkin patch looking for the perfect pumpkin. You stand there and eventually spot the one you want. So you grab the pumpkin and take it home. Of course, you have to clean it off because it was dirty and laying in a garden. Then you cut the top off and scrape out all the junk and goo inside. Then you carve a masterpiece on the outside and put a light in it for the community to see.
That is what God does with us. He picks us up out of the dirt. He washes us off and then scrapes all the junk out of us. He then carves the most beautiful work of art into us and puts His light -- Jesus Christ -- in us for the whole world to see. Now, if we had to wait for the pumpkin to be clean before we take it home; we would never get it home. You see, pumpkins don't have arms. And in the same way, if God waited for us to be clean before He picked us up; we would never be able to. You see, we don't have the spiritual arms to cleanse ourselves. That is why Jesus had to die on the cross, for our sin.

But I guarantee, you read it correctly, I GUARANTEE THAT IF YOU TRULY MEAN IT WHEN YOU ASK JESUS TO TELL YOU IF YOU NEED HIM OR NOT; HE WILL ANSWER YOU! That is a pretty bold statement for me to make; but you know what, I know Him well enough to know that I know He will back up my words.
In God's Word, Romans 8:28, it says, "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." It doesn't say that all things are good, it says that all things work together for good. I am happy to report that God has restored the relationships that I have with my mother and with my father. I was also able to witness to the young man that I tried to kill in a Divine meeting when I was ministering in a prison. God has called me to do Evangelistic Missionary work. He has opened the doors for me to go and speak in prisons, jails, detention centers, schools, youth groups, youth camps, etc. He has called me to go into the mission field full time.
