"Janeway here." You answer.
"Captain." You loose your anger when you hear the Vulcan voice doesn't mean business. "I was wondering if you would like to join me for a game of Calto?" You smile. You haven't had a game of Calto or so long, and have been reading up on great new strategies. You are sure you could make a game last a reasonable amount of time this time. On the other hand, you did want to find Chakotay. But there was no particular reason to see him, just the company. What do you do in response to Tuvok's invitation?
Accept/Decline
"Would you like a drink Captain?" He asks. You shake your head.
"No thanks. Lets start. I'm determined to win." Tuvok raises a skeptical eyebrow and you smile. You sit down and he places the first piece. You follow carefully positioning you piece near the edge of his. He frowns as if that was unexpected. Further into the game he decides to start up light conversation.
"What were you doing when I called you?" You shrug.
"I dunno." He looks up.
"I find that hard to believe. It seems unlikely that someone as... diverse... as you would waste time doing nothing." You smile.
"You know me too well. Actually I was on my way to find Commander Chakotay. No reason, he wasn't expecting me, just thought the company might be nice." He nods.
"You two have been spending a lot of time together lately." He notes.
"Meaning?" You asked, not liking where this is going.
"There have been rumours going round that you and he may be... involved." He tells you. You frown.
"I thought all the rumours were about Tom and B'Elanna." You say.
"Only the one's you here Captain." He says before placing the winning piece. You frown and order another game. He pauses.
"What?" You ask impatiently.
"May I ask you something first Captain?" He asks. You shrug.
"Sure."
"Are you attracted to Commander Chakotay?" You nearly choke. You're about to defend your pride. Deny it 'till the end. But you start to think. Perhaps you have been feeling something for him lately. And if you told Tuvok you know he'd keep absolute secrecy. And it would be nice to talk to someone and have them to help sort your emotions out. But saying yes would be a difinitive answer when you aren't even sure. Maybe you should conceal it untill you know what you're talking about. You take a deep breath, look into Tuvok's eyes and say
No. I've never felt any attraction toward him/Yes, I think I may be falling in love with him."
"Very well. Tuvok out." He says and you continue your journey. It can take a long time to get from one end of a Star Ship to another you realise as you hike down long empty corridoors. You get an idea. There's a jerrefies tube that you can take to get to the turbo lift faster, and if you're right, there should be an opening in the bulkhead along this wall somewhere. You smile when you see it and heave it open, crawling in. It's small and cramped but it will get you there faster. Finally you reach the end of the crawl space and can stand - well - stoop. You hear noises up ahead - voices and giggling. You silently move forwards, hugging the wall. You peek round the wall only to find Paris and Torres in each other's arms. So, your suspicions have been confirmed. Untill now you'd only heard rumours, no reports of definite sightings. They're both on duty you recall. You watch them for a while. B'Elanna pulls away from Tom and grins.
"If we ever got caught..." She trailed off with a grin. Tom looked around.
"Who would be crawling through Jefferies tubes at this end of the ship. We're safe." He saiy before kissing her again. Under normal circumstances you should reprimand them both. They're breaking the rules, and besides, the expressions on their faces when they realised they were caught would be priceless. Or you could leave them to it. It was against rules and you didn't even want to know what they'd get up to, but it was a posibility. What do you do?
Leave them to it and take the longer route/ Speak up and see what they have to say for themselves.
"Bridge to Captain. We're being hailed."
"On my way." You say and leave.

"Deck 4." You instruct. The turbo lift whirs and off you go. You hop off at deck 4 and start ambling your was towards Chakotay's quarters. You stop dead at what you see infront of you. Seven has Harry pinned against the wall and both are breathing deeply. Neither has noticed you.
"Ensign Kim, I may be knew to individuality, but I know when I like something... or someone. I am not hormonal." She says angrily. He shakes his head quickly.
"No. Of cause not." He says, petrified. She releases her hold a little and smiles.
"Well then, can we... advance our relationship?" She asks and leans in to kiss him. You take a step forward and...
Try to save Harry from Seven/Continue to walk past, letting them sort out their own diferences.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but, aren't you both on duty?" You ask. They both nod.
"Yes ma'am."
"Then why are you down here?" You ask in a patrionising tone. There's a moments silence and then Tom speaks.
"You see Captain, we ahh, well, it isn't a regular thing at all, you see, I was just down here doing ahh... stuff, and then B'Elanna was too, and we just sort of bumped..."
"At the mouth." You help him. They both nod eagerly. You scowl and open your mouth to speak.
"Captain. I did not realise-" Seven begins. Harry's still trying to catch his breath.
"Never mind that. What are you doing to poor Ensign Kim?" You ask. She looks annoyed.
"He is... frustrating. He refuses to admit he is attracted to me yet I can tell he is. It is annoying that he will not recieve my affections even though I know he wants to." She explains. Your eyes go wide.
"So you try to kill him?" You ask. She looks at Harry who's face is returning to normal colour.
"I regret harming Ensign Kim. My temper appears to be reasserting itself and I am yet to learn to control it." She turns to Harry. "I am.. sorry."
"Don't sweat it." He wheezes. But she brings the subject back up.
"Even if you had agreed, I suppose I would not know how to proceed. Unless... Captain, would you be willing to demonstrate how to begin a relationship to me?" Seven asks. You nearly faint. This is too much for one day.
"Uh... with Harry?" Seven frowns.
"No. He is mine. With Chakotay." She suggests. Now your jaw drops.
"Um..." You say.
"Sure, why not?"/"No, I don't think that would be appropriate."
"Captain? Are you okay." He asked.
"Ohhh." You groan. "Your quarters are too far away from the second hand bio-neural parts hold." You tell him and he looks confused. You don't care.
"Can I come in?" You ask. He moves out of the way and you plonk down on the couch. He sits next to you, anticipating you need a neck massage. Your eyes close as his fingers work their magic, caressing every spot on the back of your neck, his fingers pressing every pressure point. You moan in pleasure and you know he's smiling.
"So to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" He asks.
"Um... I need... ohh... I came for a neck massage... ahhh." You tell him jokingly and you can sence his smile grow into a grin.
"Chakotay the great, first officer and personal masseur." He announces. You smile and let your head flop against the back of the couch as he stops, complete bliss still plastered on your face. "Lets see." He starts to look around for something to entertain you. "Okay, two choices." He says after a while. "We can either talk to our spirit guides to relax or listen to some classical music and talk." He suggests. Without opening your eyes you reply.
"The latter - music, talking, that's what I feel like." / "Actually, I've been meaning to have a chat with my animal guide."
"We need to have a chat." You tell him. He moves out of the way to let you all in.
"Stay here." You say harshly to Tom and B'Elanna and take Chakotay over to the edge on the room. You speek softly to him.
"They've been meeting regularly in the Jefferies tubes to... consumate... their relationship. I was hoping you could talk to B'Elanna. Knock some sense into her. I'll tackle Tom." He nods in agreement and walks over to the two who have no idea what's going to happen now. Chakotay takes B'Elanna roughtly by the arm and drags her to another room. You watch them go and walk over to Tom and begin to lecture him. While you lecture him sternly and sensibly and he stands there and takes it your both aware of Chakotay and B'Elanna's lecture getting louder;
"I thought you took your work seriously Torres."
"Maybe I've re-arranged my priorities a little." She retorts. Tom smirks but one look from you and he shuts up.
"Well while your on duty you just re-arrange your priorities again. Work comes first." THONK
"Oooooh....."
"Oops." Tores says. You rush in, Tom at your heel, only to find an unconscious Chakotay lying at B'Elanna's feet. She looks at you and you glare, kneeling down to tend to Chakotay. Torres takes advantage of this situation. She runs forward, grabs Tom's hand, and hauls him out of Chakotay's quarters before you can do anything. You tap your comm badge.
"Janeway to security. Find Lieutenants Paris and Torres and bring them to me." / Red Alert! Lieutenants Paris and Torres are on the loose! They are dangerous and armed with - well - B'Elanna. Find them. Search Everywhere!"
"Captain, what can I do for you?" He asks happily. You tell him and he looks slightly uncomfortable.
"Isn't there anyone else they can use? Tom and B'Elanna for example?" He asks.
"They're relationship is not confirmed." Seven informs him. He looks at you. You mean business.
"This is only for friends." You remind him and he nods.
"Right." You move closer to him untill you are almost touching. You can't forget Seven's scrutinising eye that you know is watching intentely every move you make. You look into his eyes and take a deep breath, put your hands on his cheeks and pull him down to your lips passionately. Better make it good to be worth it, you figure. You can sense he's surprised at first. You both are, but soon you relax into it. His arms wrap around your waist and yours leave his cheeks to be round his kneck. Eyes close and the forced passion melts into smooth gentleness. You don't even notice Seven nodding to Kim that that was sufficient enough and them leaving. You begin to forget why your kissing him, all you can think about is how it's surprisingly enjoyable. Perhaps you should volounteer as a permanent sample couple. You both finally pull apart, the need for air finally replacing the need for the other. You look into each other's eyes, sort of guiltily, realising that Seven and Harry left long ago. You both smile sheepishly and look away, but keep your arms where they were. You stay like this for a long moment before you say.
"Oh hell." And push him to the couch, landing ontop of him. You both kiss for a while longer, getting tongues and hand-exploration involved, but finally Chakotay pushes up. You stop and quickly climb off him. You sit there for a moment in akward silence before you giggle a little and shake your head.
"We shouldn't have done that." You look at him.
"No." He agrees. You touch up your lip-stick with your finger and look away. He has an idea.
"Aha." He says and reaches behind the couch, producing a bottle of Talaxian wine. You look at it.
"It's the middle of the day Chakotay." He shrugs.
"Today doesn't seem to be very regular."
"You can say that again." You agree.
"So, you want some wine? It's sorta strong. I mean, it's weak for Talaxian alcohol, but that means nothing." You think about it and finally answer.
"Yes."/"No"
"Finger slipped." He apologises and you growled.
"Get out there and look for them Tuvok." You order. Kim speaks up from Opps, trying to be heard above the noise and confusion. You turn to look at him, an unhappy expression on your face.
"Captain. A shuttle has just left. With a human and a human/klingon on board. I believe Tom and B'Elanna have eloped." He says sadly. You sit down on your chair and bury your head in your hands. Chakotay is suddenly beside you, arm around your shoulder.
"It's okay, Kathryn." He offers, using your first name. You lean into his hug.
"Sometimes I wish I could just do that."
"What?"
"Run off. Escape it all."
"You want to? Now? With me?" He asks sincerely. You must be going mad, his crazy suggestion actually sounds tempting, and possible. You're shocked to find yourself actually considering it long and hard. Eloping with Chakotay. Finding an M class planet somewhere... Doesn't sound too bad.
"Well?" He asks. You look at him.
"Why not? Screw Star Fleet. Meet you In the Shuttle Bay in five." / "You're truly mad Chakotay. We can't just run off!"
"Lieutenant's Paris and Torres. I'm very disappointed in both of you. Especially you Torres. You hit another member of the crew - a commanding officer, then ran away from your Captain! That's unacceptible. This incident is going on both of your permanent records. Lieutenant Torres, you are to spend 7 days in the brig for your crimes. You are both suspended from duty untill further notice." You watch two guards take Torres away and then tell Tom to go to his quarters. He obeys silently and you wander to Chakotay's room. You ring the chime and he opens the door, a relaxed expression on his face. He sees your stressed one and looks concerned.
"Captain? Are you okay." He asked.
"Ohhh." You groan. "You wont believe how long it just took me to get here." You tell him and he looks confused. You don't care.
"Can I come in?" You ask. He moves out of the way and you plonk down on the couch. He sits next to you, anticipating you need a neck massage. He stands and starts to look around for something to entertain you with, but you look him in the eye, stress blocking any prohibiting thought from your brain as you stand and reach for his cheek. He rewards you with a response. A smile. Ever so slight. This makes you grin. You look into his eyes and take a deep breath, put your hands on his cheeks and pull him down to your lips passionately. Better make it good to be worth it, you figure. You can sense he's surprised at first. You both are, but soon you relax into it. "On my way." You eventually reply.
Onto the next part....
"Still up to it?" He asks. You nod.
"Definitely."
"Good. Lets go." He says and you both clamber into the best shuttle for comfort, shields and weapons. You dump your bags and sit in the front compartment. You take off quickly, escaping before anyone notices. After a minute or two Voyager hails you. You ignore it and both you and Chakotay start laughing. When you're safely out of range of Voyager you set course for an M class planet Chakotay picked up on sensors. The shutle on auto-pilot, you turn to face each other, both still giggling. Despite your condition you both manage a big smile and you slide your chair over to him.
"It's surprisingly relaxing to get away from there." You tell him. "It's been to stressfull. And I really don't want to get home anymore. I just want to find home. And together we can do that." You tell him. He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you to him so you're sitting on his lap. Hi kisses you, wasting no time for gentle caressing, just going for the lustfull, deep kisses. With your lips still joined you smile and giggle happily. You are too busy to notice the computer telling them there's another shuttle from Voyager a few thousand kilometres ahead of you, heading for the same planet.

Start Again I Return to the Institute
"I thought you were unconscious, or is this day just making me completely mad?" You ask.
"Oh." He laughs. "It was just a bump. I was up and out in five minutes." He tells you. The doors of the turbo-lift open and an army of creatures vaguely resembling guinea-pigs tumble out. You and the rest of the bridge crew stare. They start crawling everywhere. The ensign at conn faints. Everyone is staring in confusion and amazement when the doors of the turbo-lift open again, this time not only containing a hundred more creatures but a guilty-looking doctor.
"Sorry." He apologises. "They were my experiment, but they bred overnight and I didn't realise. Now they're all over the ship." He says regretfully. You groan and look at the creatures now densely packed into the bridge. The red alert lights, the claxon, the noise of people contacting the bridge wanting to know what's going on, the noise of these creatures shrieking, and the general chaos that surrounded the bridge is starting to get to you, so you get up and walk carefully through the creatures to your ready room, calling Chakotay to follow. You dodge not only the creatures, but all the ensigns, now helping the doctor catch them. There are probably 10 or 15 more people on the bridge than usual, all trying to help out with the creature disaster. You moan and Chakotay enters behind you. Fortunately only a few creatures got into your ready room while the doors were open. You both sit on your couch, not knowing what to do when the comm system says.
"Captain, we're being hailed." You note Tuvok's statement and take a while to answer. When you finally do you say:
"Get rid of those creatures, stop red alert, get everyone off the bridge. I'll be right out to atke the hail." / "Ignore the stupid people. Chakotay, help me!"
"So," You start "I don't know much about your childhood."
"Well, I don't know much about yours. You tell me yours, I'll tell you mine."
"I asked first!" You exclaim happily as you begin to hear your voice become cloggier. He laughs with you.
"No!" He claims and starts to tackle you. The Talaxian wine really hit you hard and you can't stop finding it amusing, even when he's lying ontop of you. He looks into your eyes.
"Do you really think before was a mistake?" He asks. You smile.
"Not at all." You tell him and he kisses you, so hard he pushes your head into the couch. You find that fact amusing as well and start laughing.
"What?" He asks.
"You're a roughian." You claim and roll him over onto the floor and continue to kiss him vigourously, untill you're interrupted by Tuvok over the comm system.
"Captain, we're being hailed." Through your drunk state you manage to remember that requirs you to be on the bridge.
"Uh..." You reply, unsure of what to do. You know your sort of drunk, but could maybe act sober. At least for a little while anyway. If you needed to. But you're having to much fun. You:
Decide you can act sober and promise to be on the bridge in 1 minute / Decide you're having too much fun and tell Tuvok to ignore it
"I suppose it wouldn't be smart." Chakotay says. You agree.
"At least not with our recent behavior." You point out and you both giggle a bit and your childish romp.
"It was a mistake, wasn't it Kathryn?" He asked. You nod, reassuring yourself more than him. You hate it when he calls you Kathryn. To personal, well, at least when you're trying to maintain a professional relationship. He moves closer to you and puts an arm around you casually.
"We're friends aren't we?" He asks. You nod and smile at him. This your sure of.
Tuvok cut in over the comm system.
"Captain, we're being hailed." He says.
"Be right there." You tell him and smile again at Chakotay before getting up and leaving.
"Sure Tuvok. Why not? I'll be there in a few minutes." You reply and set off for his quarters. Once you arrive you immediately relax at the serenity of the Vulcan's quiet quarters. The customary candles were lit and on the table there was a calto game set up ready to be played. You smile at your Vulcan friend and he nods in what would be a friendly way had he shown emotion.
"Um, Sorry Tuvok, but I've got some things I have to do. Another time, and prepare to be whipped." You can almost see him raising an eyebrow in a skeptical manner.
He nods and you begin a new game. You play in silence, both concentrating hard, you trying desperately to come up with a great stragety that will enable you to win, him trying desperately to understand what you're trying to do. The game continues for a long time untill you're both interruped with a message from the bridge.
Tuvok nods.
"Then I think you had better go see him." You smile and feel relieved that he didn't give you a lecture about Star Fleet protocol. You thank him for the game and leave, once again in search of Chakotay.
You finally reach the turbo lift which will take you to Chakotay's level. You step in.
You take a step forward and assert yourself. You clear your throat and speak.
"Lieutenants." You adress them. They are apart in an instant and looking incredibly sheepish. It's all you can do not to laugh and maintain a serious face.
"Seven, get off him." You instruct. They are both surprised to hear you and Seven steps back.
You walk carefully past the couple and sprint to Chakotay's quarters, looking for something reassuringly familiar. You ring the chime and he opens the door, a relaxed expression on his face. He sees your stressed one and looks concerned.
The lieutenants follow you unenthusiastically, their heads bowed. Crewmen stop to watch and can only guess what they've been caught doing. You ring Chakotay's chime and he answers, a totally relaxed expression on his face, but it turns to concern when he sees your serious expression and then the two guilty-looking lieutenants standing back a little.
"Janeway to Chakotay. I have a request from Seven and Kim. We're on our way to your quarters." You inform him before leading the two junior officers - slightly nervously - to Chakotay's quarters. When you arrive he is waiting.
The claxon sounds and the ship dims. Red lights flash. You see Chakotay beamed safely to sickbay. You head to the bridge and chaos ensues. On the bridge millions of reports are coming in about people who've just seen Tom and B'Elanna run by. The voices are over-bearing. The entire bridge crew are wincing with the noise of all the voices speaking at once. A torpedo fires and you turn to face Tuvok, an eyebrow raised.
Security teams were dispatched and Tom and B'Elanna found. You glare at them as they are brought to your ready room. You compliment yourself on the way you handled the situation, no fuss, no mess. Quick, efficient results.
"Music it is." He announces and starts the computer playing Pachabell. He stands and starts to look around for something to entertain you with, but you look him in the eye, stress blocking any prohibiting thought from your brain as you stand and reach for his cheek. He rewards you with a response. A smile. Ever so slight. This makes you grin. You waste no time giving in to your feelings. You don't remember them ever being this strong for him before. You both finally pull apart, the need for air finally replacing the need for the other. You look into each other's eyes, sort of guiltily.. You both smile sheepishly and look away, but keep your arms where they were. You stay like this for a long moment before you say.
You set out your medicin bundles and share a content look, sitting opposite each other. Since he first taught you this skill you have aquired your own medecin bundle, as he said you would. You place one hand on your spirit stone and the other on his free one and you both close your eyes, drifting off into the other realm where you exist only with your animal guide...
Who knows how much later you're interrupted by Tuvok. "Captain, we're being hailed." He informs you. You roll your eyes and stand up, still a little unsteady after being so relaxed for so long.
You rush into the shuttlebay carrying a small bag with a few favourite items. You see Chakotay standing conspicuosly in the conrner with a similar one. You rush up to him. He smiles nervously at you.
You look Chakotay in the eye and wish you could go, but know it's not a possibility in reality. You frown.
He pours you a rather large glass and you take a big swig. He is impressed and you give him a sexy look. You move close to him again and take another big swig, this time downing the whole glass. He's very impressed and pours you another glass, nearly finishing his own.
You sit there a while in silence.
