STUDENTS  ISLAMIC  ORGANISATION  OF  INDIA

Students Islamic Organisation of India is the biggest organisation of Islam loving students and youth of India.
Formed in 1982 and headquatered at New Delhi SIOis established in 18 states of the country with thousands of members and lakhs of associates in its fold.
 

ACTIVITIES AT A GLANCE

Arrange weekly and monthly meetings, seminars,symposia and conferences to spread the message of Islam.

Campaign against  prevailing evils in society like hooliganism,communal hatred, untouchability, nudity , dowry etc

Promotion of better understanding between Muslims and other students and youth.

Striving for educational progress and awakening of students and youth towards new challenges and opportunities.

Helping students through book-banks, free coaching classes, scholarships, Education & Career Guidance Bureau, libraries, sports clubs and hostel facilities.
 

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

to convey the true meaning of Islam to students and youth

to enable the students and youth to lead their individual and collective (private and public) lives according to the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

to promote virtues (maroof) and eradicate evil (munkar)

to improve the academic and moral climate in educational institutions

to prepare the students and youth  to become exlampary and responsible citizens and contribute their mite  for the Islamic Movement (Tehreek-e-Islami)
 

METHODOLGY

the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) is the main guide and basis of the activities of SIO

in all its actions SIO is bound by moral limits

for the achievement of its objectives SIO adopts only peaceful & constructive methods of dissemination of knowledge and propogation. It abstains from all such acts which are against truth & honesty or which may lead to communal hatred,class struggle and mischief on earth.
 

JOIN SIO

You may personally contact the Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) local unit or any member of SIO or even mail me at arshadia@yahoo.com to obtain a copy of the Constitution and Policy & Programme of the Organisation.

If you agree with it you may extend your helping hand and cooperate with its activities.
You may join SIO first as an ASSOCIATE. One who agrees with our aims & objectives and is ready to take part in our activities can fill the form of ASSOCIATE and join the organisation.

You can become a MEMBER of SIO if you are a citizen of India,not more than 30 years of age and pledge after understanding the constitution that you will abide by it(constitution) and by its coformity abide by its discipline. Again you have to fill a MEMBERSHIP FORM to be forwarded to the President of SIO whose approval is a necessity for membership.

Those non-Muslims students & youth who are willing to practically cooperate in the organisational activities become its SYMPATHISER.

Children who are not more than 15 years of age are organised under CHILDREN CIRLES.

DAWAH
 

SIO has a persistent Dawah activity and contacts amongst non muslim students and youth.
Arrangement of Dawah weeks and campaigns like

• Call to Peace Campaign,
• Benefactor of Humanity Week,
• Introduction to the Holy Quran week,
• Turn to the Creator Campaign,
• Anti Evils camapign .

Dawah Training Camps for training its members in comparative religion and communicating the message of Islam .
