End of Season All-Niter Champions!

The Mortgage Company rolled through the second annual Bedford Softball Association End of Season All-Niter with an unblemished record of five wins against zero defeats. In an awsome display of offense the mortgage Company squad demolished the competition with an average of nearly 25 runs a game against very good competition. With a team batting average of over .700 it was truely a team effort. The pitching and defense was also very solid but the it was the incredible base hitting the led the way to the tournament romp. Ian Martin and Kevin Harder made major contributions in their first appearance for the team and the normal roster of players was outstanding as well. The mortage Company will be in action again Friday July 27 against Bedford Glass at Murray Forrest Park at 9:00 PM.

Spires hangs 'em up

Long time team member Ty Spires has decided to call it a career. Spires enjoyed one of the longest tenures with the team and was a very productive member over the past several years. Over the course of his carrer Ty maintained a .522 batting average and hit 20 homeruns and 147 RBIs. This season was shaping up to be one of Ty's best. His batting average was .566 at the time of his retirement and in in his last five games he was hitting at a .722 clip. But numbers alone cannot tell of Ty's contributions to the team. He is a giant personality that will be missed and it doubtful that the D-O- double L will ever be the same again. We would like to wish Ty the best of luck and hope makes it back to play with us again sometime.
