To Mom, With Love

To Mom, With Love

Mom,
You were always there for us, no matter what. Your love and caring surrounded us, and we were blessed to have you in our lives. Whenever I needed a friend, you were there to talk to, to laugh with, and to cry with. You never judged me, or gave me unwanted advice. You listened with your heart, and always told me what I needed to hear, whether I wanted to hear it or not.

I can feel you close to me now, your love surrounds me, and I know I will never be alone. You were a blessing here on earth, and now that you are gone, God has another angel at his side, for I truly believe that is where you are, now, Mom.

Although you were my mother-in-law, I felt close to you, and priviledged to call you mom. I know not many were chosen to call you that. I couldn't have loved you more had you truly been my mother.

The time we had together was very special to me, and I will always cherish the moments I got to spend with you, because no matter what we did together, I knew that you truly loved me.

Thank you, Mom, for all that you gave to me: your kindness, your warmth, your wonderful sense of humor, your understanding, and most of all, your love. For all these gifts I am truly grateful. I will always love you, and miss you.

He Only Takes The Best

God saw you getting weaker
And a cure was not to be
So He put His arms around you
And whispered "come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you
As we saw you pass away
Although we loved you dearly
He would not make you stay.
A loving heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Never Far Away

I'm gone now, but I'm still very near.
Death can never separate us.
Each time you feel a gentle breeze,
It's my hand caressing your face.
Each time the wind blows,
It carries my voice whispering your name.
When the wind blows your hair ever so slightly,
Think of it as me pushing a few stray hairs back in place.
When you feel a few raindrops fall on your face,
It's me placing soft kisses.
At night look up in the sky and see the stars shining so brightly.
I'm one of those stars and I'm winking at you and smiling with delight,
For never forget you're the apple of my eye.
