Beauty for Ashes
to Beauty for Ashes
"...to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion~to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair..."
As someone who has not only endured their share of the storms of life, but as someone who has been made more than a conqueror in the midst of those storms, I have found that my Father has always been faithful to offer me *Beauty for Ashes.* Not only has He given me *Beauty for Ashes*...but He has also given me the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. I can not praise Him enough for all He has done for me. It is my heart's desire that this place be a quiet place~away from the storms that break against our lives. A stillness in the storms of life. There is such a place, a quiet place. God is there. So many have a ministry they never expected to have because of an affliction, hardship, or loss. Personally, I have *lost* a child, Adam. "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." Through our own sufferings we are given "divine appointments" to minister to others. Because of our trials, whatever they may be, we have opportunities to comfort other hurting people.
I do not believe that God comforts us just to make us comfortable. I believe that He comforts us so that we can comfort others. That is what I pray we will do here at *Beauty for Ashes.* Comfort one another. Offer words of encouragement. Offer up prayers for one another. Edify one another. Lift one another up.
Please visit the message board of *Peace in the Midst of Storms* and make yourself at home. Come and receive quiet encouragement from those of us who have already walked, and are walking, where you are walking today, and who are making it through the storms of life. Please feel free to share your heart with us. Perhaps you will also offer words of encouragement and comfort to others.
Many people working together can make a big difference in helping hurting people get through difficult trials. Let us help one another.
God bless all and peace to all.
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise.
