Goals

First time: Slow, easy pace, but strick each key quickly.

Second time: Faster pace; move from key to key quickly.

Technique cues

1. Keep fingers well curved.

2. Try to make each key reach without moving hand or other fingers forward or downward.


4.1) Conditioning practice

Type each line twice

all jaks; all ads; fall ads; ask a lad; add a dash

4.2) Learn new keys: t i left shift key

  1. Find new key on chart above.
  2. Find new key on keyboard.
  3. Study reach technique below.
  4. Watch finger make reach.
  5. Type reach-technique drill.

4.3) Improve keystroking technique

Goals

Type each line 3 times
(slowly, faster, slowly):
press Return(Enter) key after each line typed

4.4) Type with continuity

Continuity goal: Avoid pauses or breaks as you type.
